I beleive our delegates voted for him to increase the chances of a brokered convention.

So yea, they owe us a thank you :)

Our guys should have voted for Romney IMO. Our only hope for a brokered is for Romney to stay in this thing. For those who haven't noticed, Huckabee has been attacking Romney non stop lately. Clearly he and McCain are butt buddies now.

Just so people understand:

West Virginia's caucus eliminated Ron Paul in it's first round of voting.

As the second round begins, it looks like Romney will take the 50% required to win.

McCain's people (there weren't many of them) vote for Huck, in order to spoil a Romney win.

Dr. Paul's 10% make a deal with Huck to put him over the top and take the win, in exchange for 3 national convention delegates.

Huck takes the win in the state (muddling the field for us), and we pick up 3 national convention delegates.

Well played, Dr. Paul.

From another thread reported on Lew Rockwell, it said that Huck's supporters agreed to give us 3 of the 18 delegate votes if we threw our support to them. So, we have 3 delegates, if this is true.

Are we sure about this?

CNN of course only reported McCain's role in this.

In the event of a brokered convention, those 3 delegates can be swayed to support someone else-- in the exact same way it was done today in WV.

You forget Ron Paul does not exist...just like Santa Claus.

Considering Paul had the right to none by being eliminated in the first round of voting, and considering that is true of any of the delegates, I'm not sure why you keep trying to hammer that home about these 3 in particular.

To underscore the importance of RP delegates standing their ground in upcoming caucases.

Fair enough.

I'm imagining that since Huck will let the RP people choose the 3 to take these spots, we'll put in good folks.

I wondered this...

Maybe they did and we felt Huck was a better strategic choice? Maybe they didn't?

I'm afraid of the Huck/McCain rumors, but we'll see.

With all the dirt flying around, it's hard to tell how much is Romney propaganda saying "A vote for Huck is a vote for McCain" and how much is McCain dirt, etc. etc.

Our doctor has a clear head, I trust him.
