I could have sworn I could vote as long as I was 18 by November, but the lady told me I have to be 18 now too. Is this true?

Yes. You could register when you're under 18, but you have to be 18 by the time of the election (primary election is not the same as general election).

I think it depends on your state. I don't know the laws for that many states though.

However, if you tell us your state, someone around here might have an answer.

Uh... what? So the lady was right? I didn't quite understand what you just said.

CT

Must be 18 30 days before the general election to vote in the general, 30 days before the primary to vote in the primary.

No, you can't vote.

Darn, I tried arguing with here too

lol

Oh well, I got a few people voting for him, so... better than nothing. And I'll be voting for him in November

I'm in CT. I thought that you COULD register to vote when you are 17 as long as you are going to be 18 by the November election. I'm almost positive. I researched all the CT rules last year.

Call the SoS office in Hartford for clarification.

Go back to the polling place with your sign, pick up every person you know who is a registered Republican along the way, play some Ron Paul speeches on CD on the trip... stand out there and wave signs... you are a Patriot. Don't let this get you down. WE know you voted for Ron Paul today. YOU know you voted for Ron Paul today. That is just another example of them not counting votes. Last I checked, Citizenship is still by birth.
