WOW, God they're an intolerant bunch. They banned me for saying basically, "Why would you say RP should be banned from the election. Though you may disagree with him on the war and drugs, I would hope every conservative here agrees with him on all the other issues." I was trying to tread lightly there because I know how they are. What a bunch of ignorant assholes.

Yep. I was a member for 4 years and got banned for this:

"The party is a complete and utter joke. If the good Dr. doesn’t get the nomination, I honestly hope the party goes up in flames in 08 which I predict it will.

We have troops dying in Iraq for what only can be desribed as spreading socialism and Sharia law as the Iraq constitution outlines. This is outrageous.

We have the SPP which I believe wholeheartedly is the stepping stone to the eventual NAU and nobody gives a crap...Nobody believes it. “It is just a Conspiracy theory” all the while you can read documents showing otherwise.

This country is going right down the crapper and the neocons are just as to blame as the liberals."

Real nice. Free Republic must only apply must mean only those freedoms you get when:

- you're emails and phones are all tapped without a warrant
- you're house is searched without a warrant or reasonable cause description
- you've been arrested without a warrant, labeled and "enemy combatant", and no family member can find you for 2 years
- you're being denied legal representation or HABEAS CORPUS by a MILITARY TRIBUNAL
- you're being water-boarded in Gitmo by Alberto Gonzalez himself
- or, you're being drafted by the Giuliani administration to "go on offense" in a war with Iran, even though Osama's in Pakistan where there's nukes with missiles

or

- you've just been censored by FreeRepbulic adminsurgents!!

FreeRepublic is supporting Fred Thompson because that's what Jim Robinson decided. In order to support Ron Paul there, you have to fly under Robinson's radar. Don't be confrontational at all or they'll call abuse on you and you'll be banned.

I'll bet they didn't ban a single person during their fund drive though. I didn't get banned during that time frame, which was a duration record for me.
