My wife, myself, and our 20 month old wore our buttons and T-shirts to our community's national night out get together. I brought a few flyers and we made it a point to not push the issue.
I told my wife that if someone asks about Dr. Paul we explain quickly that he's a congressman from here in Texas and he's a Doctor working for our rights. We hand them a flyer and assure them that he's the best man for the job.
When we showed up almost immediately an older gentleman, wearing a retired Marine baseball cap, his name was Paul said "well all be damned I know I'm going to like you guys!" He says "Ron Paul supporters, he's the best he's got my vote". He was speaking with others there Frank and Kim our neighbors, and they were interested in Dr. Paul so they all got flyers. Others asked, and soon the 10 flyers I had were all gone.
All in all it felt great, I feel like we got the word out a little bit in our area.
