In the beginning when RP was zero threat his viewpoints were discussed as good ideas among pundits.

When he started becoming more relevant the same guys that used to praise him when he was fringe, now completely ignore him.

Bill Maher, John Stewart and Cafferty are 3 that come to mind. After a while, complete blackout.

Maybe it was because Paul did poorly during the actual voting.

10% in the state of Iowa was an excellent way to start the election season for RP and thus the MSM blackout started. And the rest is a result of the media.

Even when they mentioned him though they always had to call him a fringe candidate, a kook, a darkhorse, or stress that he has absolutely no chance at winning the race, and that is exactly why most people I can't get to vote for him say they will not "waste" their vote on him.

They are ignoring him now because people started to listen, and that is a threat. The simple fact is, MOST people I talk to don't even know who he is, and THAT is why it isn't translating to votes...

Simply put, he is not picking up enough votes because the media is ignoring him, which they in turn blame on him not getting votes in order to protect themselves. There is no chicken/egg argument here, only fact that is backed by solid research.

Stop kidding yourself, he is doing poorly because they don't cover him - not the other way around. The reason they don't cover him is so that he does poorly. They want him to do poorly.

When Ron Paul wook 2nd in the Nevada (straw poll), they reported McCain was 2nd. Anyone who thinks the media doesn't have an agenda need to take their blinders off.

That's not weird.

You are living in the false left-right paradigm if you think it's weird.

Like Glenn Beck who said "If 9/11 was an inside job they'd have it on the front page of the New York Times".

It's both.
