There won't be much time to focus on the budget before the elections. The House is scheduled to be in session 104 days through November, down from 164 days last year, according to the schedule set by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat.

This through November, but the additional days off carry over from the Thanksgiving recess into December and that month's increased days off, equate to over 9 more weeks off from work in the capital building.

The IRONY... the movie, 9 1/2 WEEKS = 2008 House of Representatives <=== That's how much ADDITIONAL TIME they DON'T WORK this year!

THANK YOU NANCY PELOSI and all the other INCOMPETENT, IRRESPONSIBLE, UNACCOUNTABLE, members of Washington DC's new ROMAN EMPIRE for abandoning and collapsing America, all for the well being of TIME OFF!

I'd pay them to take the entire term off!

It's in our very grand constitution where it says they should meet at least once. You can gain from that part that it was never intended for them to meet very often, let alone most of the year.
