Just FYI people...

Over here in the UK we have "universal healthcare".

It costs us 8% of our income and is called National Insurance. That's on top of our Income Tax.

Not over my dead body. I will contract with my employer as a contract worker. They will have to put me in jail for failure to pay. I'm not paying for someone else's free health care.

The illegals here have the emergency rooms tied up day and night in my city.

Yeah, people will still beg for it. I really wish people would use their brains once in a while. Especially people who like me don't really use health care that much. I depend solely on alternative methods and have been just fine. I do have health insurance through my employer just in-case, however, I suspect that under Hillary's plan my payout will be unbearable. I'm tired of my energy being expended for the state. In other words, I'm tired of slaving.

So will Obama, or ANY dipstick who believes that Uncle Sugar should 'provide' universal health care...

Exactly why I hate Hillary. She wants to mandate healthcare, basically making the government FORCE you to buy into a government healthcare plan, reaching into your paycheck to pay for it. And she tries to make Obama look bad by saying he doesn't support this universal healthcare. Hillary must be stopped.

Hillary's plan will essentially eliminate all private health insurance. No private business can compete with an entity that has the power to print money.

They call it "red pill envy" when you realize just how against the people the government has become.

This will probably be implemented without a tax too. Which will bankrupt the nation or cause endless massive inflation tax. I really don't think Clinton will be able to get away with the amount of tax it would require for this mandate. Right now Medicare alone could probably fund every American's insurance if it wasn't in the hands of government.

Gotta love how they are getting rid of the middle-class percentage by percentage:

IMO, this is clearly unconstitutional. I think it could be challenged successfully in the Supreme Court, and struck down, if it even made it out of congress.

Usually, you are the realist on these boards, but in this case I think you are being overly optimistic.

Do you actually expect something that is unconstitutional to be shut down?

How many clearly unconstitutional things go on right now?

What surprised me most about these programs is that they are more fascist than socialist. They garner you wages so that you have to buy insurance from "private" companies? Companies that profit? Talk about a F'ed up system.

Sadly I'm hoping the corruption grows and the insurance companies work their magic by paying everyone off.:D

I fucking HATE how the Democrats say Universal Healthcare when it's Universal Health INSURANCE they're offering to steal from some to pay for those without it.

Bush already raised taxes for her by going to war in Iraq. She'll just phase that out in favor of her health care plan. Then she'll commit troops to nation-building somewhere else in the world.

Anyway, why don't the Democrats just suggest abolishing all taxes on income below the poverty line? Right now that gets hit hard (15.3%) by payroll taxes. No wonder the poor and working class can't afford their own care.

The thing is, it would hard to challenge something like medicare or social security, because they are already established in the system. But for something new coming along like this healthcare thing, the constitutionality of the whole idea could be challenged up front.

I'm not saying we would win, but it would be worth the fight.

lol.

Think it's maybe about time for us to all get very very angry??

I laugh. I've been pissed off at this stuff for a while now. You get what you ask for...that should be the message to the taxpayers.
