As you may know, there is one candidate for President expressing ideas of real change for Washington. But electing one man to the White House is not enough, and Ron Paul supporters know this. Ron Paul is doing better than reported in the media. The largely misunderstood caucus system elects delegates to county and state conventions, not the national convention. The media reports percentages, but the important number is delegates to the national convention.

Taking second in the Nevada straw poll, Ron Paul delegates likely reflect more than the 14% of votes reported. Mitt Romney bussed in candidates to vote, but delegates for Ron Paul are determined individuals who will attend state conventions, and continue on to the national convention. Ron Paul received at least second, and possibly first place in the Louisiana caucus, once the delegates are decided. This weekend, in Maine, the numbers reported by the media reflect a non-binding straw poll. Again, it appears that Romney has bussed in voters, but precincts where Romney one the straw poll, Paul organizers are reporting that 7 of 8 delegates to the state convention went to Ron Paul:

Ron Paul's greatest chance of receiving the Republican nomination lie in a brokered convention.

But even if Ron Paul doesn't win the nomination, this movement stands to make a mark on American politics, and continue to grow. Ron Paul supporters are determined activists committed to spreading the ideas or personal liberty beyond the 2008 election. This is an uphill battle, but we are determined. Our efforts will be boosted by the Ron Paul presidential campaign, the campaign that started this movement. The more support for Dr. Paul, the more people the message reaches, the more delegates to the Republican National Convention to go to St. Paul to speak up for individual freedom, the stronger the movement grows.

Ron Paul has asked his supporters for an additional $5 Million by Super Tuesday. This request has come on the heels of several successive money bombs, and many supporters have given all they can afford and then some. New donors continue to give to the campaign, but the campaign's request is still $3 Million short of the Super Tuesday goal.

Ron Paul has 16,000 precinct leaders dedicated to canvassing their precincts and turning out voters for Ron Paul in their respective primaries and caucuses. If each of these precinct leaders can convince 2 people to donate $100 (or 4 people to donate $50, or 8 to donate $25) to Ron Paul's presidential campaign by February 5th, we can meet Ron Paul's request for a $5 million dollar boost. This boost will help the Ron Paul campaign not only to compete across the country, but to spread the message liberty and constitutional government. Even if Ron Paul does not win the Republican nomination, this money will not be wasted as it advances the cause of freedom, and strengthens the movement that began with Ron Paul's presidential campaign.

If you support this cause, I encourage you to donate what you can afford to Ron Paul's campaign:

Thank you, Ike.

Yes, we just need the equivalent of 2 NEW DONORS @ $100 per precinct leader to fill the $3.3 million shortfall that Ron Paul is asking by February 5th.

Let's all aim to find 2 MORE DONORS who would be willing to contribute $100 or more.
