Ron Paul's foreign policy sends a nice message: "You don't have to support the war if you are a Republican". The pro-war-in-Iraq people are cornered. Bush confused them and they thought it was their duty to support it, but now they are cornered. They once thought that it was only the Democrats who wanted out. But no, we, all Americans... we want out. And we want YOU out of the senate, congress, etc. They are cornered and they are leaving. Ron Paul said, just today, nearly 30 Republicans are leaving congress. But there is good news for the freedom fighter, the liberty lover, the constitution caretaker. Nearly 40 of us, true Americans, are running to take their place. It's time we got real people back into Washington.

Ron Paul makes them look like idiots...and he makes the "conservative" media (tv shows, radio shows, etc) look like fools by reminding them what conservatism is all about. I'm sure most of them realize they've lost their way but are too stubborn to admit what has happened. They've become the big-government party rival of the Democrats.

If 9/11 did not happen or if there were no "wars" in Afghanistan and Iraq I don't honestly see how any of the other candidates could even hold a light to Ron Paul in the Republican party. Bush/Cheney & co. have convinced Republicans that "9/11 changed everything" There is some truth to that - it changed the consensus in the GOP. The neoconservatives came in from the far left-wing of the Democratic party and ruined things for everyone.
