If you live in the Austin, TX area, we need to help Ron get more donations.
----------------------------------------------------------------
In Williamson County, Republicans generally fared best. Giuliani and U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Lake Jackson, raised more than Romney in the 78628 ZIP code of Georgetown, but Romney took in more from Leander and Cedar Park.
Candidates from both parties saw some success in Hays County. Edwards collected the most in San Marcos; Giuliani and Paul did the best in Kyle.
Paul, who once ran for president as a Libertarian and who has struggled in national polls, did well in several parts of Central Texas, posting numbers similar to Obama's in supposedly liberal 78704, which includes Travis Heights and other areas around South Congress Avenue.
Paul also finished third in Northwest Hills, one of the Austin areas that produced the most money overall. Jim Lodwick, who lives in Northwest Hills and gave Paul $2,550 in the first half of the year, said he had mailed back his voting card to protest electronic voting machines but re-engaged in politics after Paul began his campaign.
