for the next Presidential election. It's not over for Dr. Paul, but it's never to early to start setting up for the next run

I'm gonna try to set-up a website for pledges for $20 a month from the month after RP drops, if he does, until June 2011, when we all start contributing whatever we can whenever we can. The goal is to raise $50,000,000 by January 2011, then another $100,000,000 over the next year after.

We can do it we only need to push and never stop. This is only the beginning.

I post this thread because "recruiting" isn't getting any views.

We will, I have no worries about 2011, it's beyond 2016 I'm worried about.

I'm definitely in for the long haul as long as Ron Paul gets elected. If John "My friends" McLame is awarded the votes, we are going to deal with some more restrictions on the net. It will be tough to organize and we will need to develop a closed forum in order to protect our movement.

Either way, Ron has started something which even he cannot stop. We thirst for freedom and liberty, and will move to occupy seats in the house, senate, and the presidency. We will take this country back. Dr. Paul just lit the match.

The hard part is we'll never duplicate RP's voting record which is arguable his best trait. Face it, he's lived a perfect life...

Rand Paul is someone we can all get behind, he'd have Ron pauls endorsement, and we'd be so organized by then it'd be easy.

True but look at Obama he only has 2 years of experience. We just need someone to be a senator for two years.

Rand Paul couldnt win because hes not even in politics, and judging from what hes said at rallies, he has to make sure the family is ok with him in politics before he does anything, so a presidential run might be a way off for him.

Whatabout Murray Sabrin?!?
this is a younger version of Dr. paul who could carry the torch and with our excellent coordination we could pull it off, especially if he gains traction in NJ

For all we know it could be one of the nearly 40 people, inspired by Paul, who are now running for congress.

What if I change the language to say liberty minded candidate, including Rand Paul and Murray Sabrin, among others.

Plus, you need not be in politics, you just need to be trustworthy.

Also, should I have a commitment to contribute $20 a month until June 2011.

i really respect this idea, beginning to forumalte a plan for a possible whitehouse run in 2012
but as to the comment about not needing to be in politics.....theres absolutely no way the voting majority will go for someone who's never even held office, thats not being pessimistic its being realistsic.
thats why i think Dr. Sabrin could be a beacon of hope. I know we can all rally around him

I think people are sick of politicians, plus if you can get the nomination of your party with three years of senate experience, plus media attention, you can get it with media attention.

I think this forum should stay running post election, regardless of outcome, for those of us who want to continue the revolution. It would be a good base to support local candidates and combine our efforts. The message goes one beyond the individual.

Ron Paul is in excellent shape for his age. There is no reason why he can't run again for President in 2012. If he doesn't win this year he will have a much better chance of winning then. There is no need to find another presidential candidate when we have Ron Paul that can do it again.

He won't have a much higher chance. The first go around is almost always you best chance. Plus, he deserves to spend the rest of his years with his family, not fighting Washington, it can be wearing on the body.

Well here's an option, Why don't we support something like in my sig
a newspaper
If we continue supporting it we could create our own media and help equalize the next election? While at the same time giving Ron Paul a boost right NOW.

Should I redraw it up to include some of those. I would go for most of those, but pro-life is one of my main issues, I must agree with a candidate on this issue, so I'll include Napolitano, Sanford, Goldwater, and any other pro-life ones. I'll also exclude people who are too old or who are entertainers, simply because Republicans are turned off by that. Also, with Jillette, he lit a flag on fire on the West Wing a few years back, so they'll bring it up, I assume, and he'll lose.

We will need to support somebody that has a record and that can appeal to many people.

Judge Nap has genuine respect for the Constitution and is probably respected even by some neocons.

Honestly... this thread pisses me off just a bit. Revolution or revolt? Look, his message is loud and clear, we should abide by the Constitution and what would be stopping us from doing that just because someone else may be put in the Oval office.

I am not giving up on this man or his message. That does not mean I am not realistic, but hell will freeze over before I give up on my Constitutional Rights, which is what we SHOULD be focusing on instead of WHO we may want IF the good doc does not get elected.

Damn, what is going on

We all need to be in this for the long haul!!! I'm getting way involved, already confirmed Pcnt Chairman. A little experience there and then who knows. We all need to stay united, because it will only get harder. It took this election cycle to open many of our eyes of the bias of the media and the fact that the main stream dems and repubs are in bed together.

We are the ones to make this place better. Start small, build on it, and in a few years we'll have so many people in place, we the people will actually run this country again!
