I'm in exactly the same position... you think the government should pay for birth control? What??!

People who want the poor to get help, but don't want to do it themselves.

No they just see less and less of their paychecks every week and want the government to help out. We were taught in school that's what government is there for.

They don't realize the government is the problem and not the solution. That's the big lie of empire =)

The republican party has turned away so many people. That young people are now choosing the lesser of two evils.

Dont worry, the baby boomer generation has beat them to it getting everything out of the government. There wont be anything left to give them except a lifetime of more debt and inflation as USA is flat broke and it will soon be the government will take everything from them.

Man that is scary. It's everywhere, a lot of people I know around my age are for Obama....I'm happy to say I don't want a handout.

It's all about following the "hip candidate". The issues don't really mean that much to that group of kids. The proof is that Obama sits there and says restoring Habeus Corpus yet he voted FOR the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act. DO YOUR HOMEWORK KIDS!

It is truly terrifying. This generation growing up is so used to the warfare/welfare state that showing them true liberty makes them recoil in horror. Our young people are becoming...socialists

Theres a saying "If you are not a socialist when young, you have no heart. If you are still a socialist when old, you have no head."

Of course there are young people who understand free markets, but you can't really blame those who don't.

Young people tend to be idealistic in a socialistic way.

When I was 15-18 I was very much the same way.

Very well stated. Kids grow up with a sense of entitlement. They want the handout, fear their government, and have been conditioned to accept tyrrany.

Oh I don't know about less and less from their paychecks...first you have to have a paycheck...
Todays kids expect, almost demand that they go to college, on their parents, or the Govts dime, extending their childhood for another 4 years. What happened to being 18, you're responsible for yourself, and your bills? This doesn't happen anymore, as many remain in their parents house until....indefinitely.
I am not saying this is true of all young people, but it certainly is more so, than when I was that age.

My boyfriend (54 years old) was at a bar yesterday talking to some young 20 somethings. That's all they talked about was Obama. He threw RP's name out there, and they said they would check him out.

People who want the poor to get help, but don't want to do it themselves.

Exactly!! There's a guy at my work who is a hard-core socialist, believes its the government's job to take from the rich to give to the needy, etc etc. But when I hear him talk he obviously lives in a very comfortable life, buys big screen TV's, watches movies all day. If he cared about poor people you think he'd actually do something about it.

Sir Winston Churchill grossly underestimated the intelligence of some of our young, just look around here.

On a related note, I think Churchill would make a great VP for Ron Paul.

Being a what's your profile image because you blindly follow you parents is no excuse.

I didn't fall into that trap. My family is misguided on politics, and I regularly have explained to them why.

Hillary and Obama would look like bigger neocons than Romney and Giuliani in any other country but this one. America is incredibly far to the right.

Are people still watching this? Shit I didn't feel like getting lied to today so I turned it on right after huckabee and turned it off right after Ron Paul.
