Am I the only one sick of him?
OK, now I'm not writing this with an eye to his platform in any way. I'm not saying thumbs up or thumbs down on any position he takes on any given issue. And how cool that he's drummed up a great grass-roots campaign for president--I think it's great, don't misunderstand me. And, I should note that I haven't decided who floats my presidential boat at this point.
HOWEVER, I'm so fucking sick of all the comment-bombing for "Ron Paul, 2008". I'm starting to think that it's a cult. It never ends. Everywhere I turn, "Vote Ron Paul" and "The only candidate worth looking at is Ron Paul". Read a thread about anything to do with anything in our country, in any way, and there's a Ron Paul flunkie, posting an uninformative comment telling us nothing more than we should vote for him.
And we've still got MONTHS ahead of us before the primaries.
Am I the only one sick of him?

Check out his platform. You will see why people are so excited about him. This guy is the best candidate for president in my lifetime.
On the issues.

Huh... Cult?
My guess is that people were yearning for a fiscally conservative anti-war candidate and Ron Paul fits perfectly. So he resonates with a lot of people.
http://www.RonPaulLibrary.com is a great collection of 500+ Paul's writings which that might give you a feeling for what the guy stands for.
Peace,
Sergey

Well. I wouldn't call it a cult. It is more of an addiction.
Obsessive compulsive desire to search and read anything with "Ron Paul" name in it and leave comments.

Wow...three anon posts in a few short hours!
Seriously--for the Ron-Paulites out there--I'm not pooh-poohing his platform or his stance on the issues. I've actually read-up quite a bit. I'm just saying that the comment-bombing is a serious turnoff. And to be fair, perhaps I'm harshing on you guys/gals with the 'non-informative' remark. But the insidious nature of this 'campaign effort' is annoying. And the primaries are over six months away.

It is kind of weird to see folks excited about a candidate this early in the cycle, but then again, Ron Paul isn't like any candidate we've seen in the last three decades. He says what he thinks, he answers questions directly, and his record matches his rhetoric.
Love or hate the guy ~ he's the real deal. And, admit it ~ you'll like the extra traffic your site gets whenever you mention his name. As a good will gesture, I'll even click on a couple of the ads on your page. ;)
