I donated twice last quarter and have been charged on my credit card for those two times, yet my name is not listed on the FEC website as a donor. Does anyone have an explanation for this?

For whatever reason, only donations that I made of 200+ are listed, the $100 donations are not listed. I'd say it's because of the amounts, but then I see $10 donations being listed...I wish I had an explanation for you, but I don't.

Very confusing.

Donations have to be itemized for anyone who donates over $200 cummulatively. Prior to that they are lumped together as unitemized donations.

Say you donate $100, then another $100, then $20. The $20 donation pushes you over $200 so it gets itemized -- that listed shows your total donations as $220. Every subsequent donation will be itemized through the end of the campaign.

Sometimes, small differences in your name or address prevent the campaign from properly matching the donations. In that case, they might have you in the database as if you were two different people. Those problems usually get caught eventually.

So you are saying that eventually my name is going to be up there?

Yes, assuming you donate more than $200 cummulatively.

Mine are mixed. I see one for $500, one for $50, and I for $16 (slim jims). $350 of other donations, all $50 and $100, don't show.

I just want to throw this out there: Take a look at the FEC site and look at who people donated to, this may be a good way of tailoring your canvassing, if you match it up to the people in your precinct.

Just a thought.

It's also possible the campaign just screwed up the itemization and reporting. They've been informed of this before. It's also possible the FEC screwed up. There's 15,000 pages of donors if you're brave enough to look through all that to try and find yourself.

i understand that donors are the highest turnout to vote for Paul.

this is THE reason EVERY donor to Paul in your state/district/etc should be contacted before the vote to remind them to show up at the polling place.

just because they donate to Paul doesn't mean that they will remember the date to vote!

It's possible that HQ may want to smooth out the donations over time. They may pop up in January.
