He's not a troll. Dr. Paul has to make sure he keeps his seat in Congress if he doesn't make it to the White House.

If you're calling this guy a troll, then Dr. Paul is a troll.

Grow up.

And by the way -- there are SEPARATE contribution limits for the Presidential race and Congressional race. Even if you're maxed out -- you can give to the Congressional race.

Dr. Paul's Congressional campaign.

Where is that money going to?

Paul's congressional reelection bid. Paul has a tougher primary challenger than he did in 2006, one who has given his own campaign over 134,000 dollars. There is no democrat running, so the primary winner wins the TX-14 house seat. Paul's challenger is a neoconservative. Does anyone here want Paul to lose the upcoming March 4th republican primary and have his house seat taken by another big government (the guy wants more NASA and agriculture federal hand-outs) neocon? No? Then help get Paul to his goal of 400,000.

Paulite: troll

Hey Paulite, go screw yourself while you read about the neocon (http://www.chrispeden.org/) the GOP is fielding against him in the Congressional primary. I'm not suggesting dropping a money bomb on this, just give a little. My hometown is in his district, and they're doing a good job getting the word out. My dad has two 4'x8' signs for each campaign staring down the highway that's the proposed route for the Trans-Texas Corridor (NAFTA Super-Hwy), and Paul just introduced a bill AS A CONGRESSMAN (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/?&Db=d110&querybd=@FIELD(FLD003+@4((@1(Rep+Paul++Ron))+00900 ))) to stop funding of that monster, so you can't say it's not important for him to maintain that post. His Congressional seat is very relevant, and he can legally run for and hold both seats. This isn't about hedging bets or quitting on the campaign -- it's about helping him keep his seat in the House. Douche.

do you want Ron Paul to stay in congress???? He needs to be re-elected. WE CANT LOSE THIS! That would be a huge failure. I'm sure he will be re-elected but he does need money for a congress campaign..

How's it looking as of now? I know Paul beat his republican primary challenger in 2006 by 56 percentage points (78-22). Is this challenger guy really a threat, or are his supporters just more loud than numerous?

Chris Peden is playing it like this:

I am a proven conservative Republican; the incumbent is a self-described Libertarian. I support winning the Global War on Terror and the War on Drugs; the incumbent does not. I think Islamo-Fascist terrorists were responsible for the 9/11 attacks; the incumbent thinks America's Middle East policy's were responsible for the attacks. I support fully funding NASA's budget and the Vision for Space Exploration; the incumbent does not. I will support and vote for the Republican nominee for U.S. President in 2008, the incumbent will not (unless it's him.)

The literature he's distributing rips Paul for "blaming America for 911" and the other usual crap Giuliani might say.

He's bragging about this?

(Probably because TX-14 has a lot of NASA employees).
