The Revolution: A Manifesto is being published by Grand Central Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Livre which is owned by the French media giant Lagardère SCA.

In the past all of Dr. Paul's books have been published by Mises or other small, indy publishers. Getting Grand Central involved is actually quite a coup, especially since there doesn't seem to be a ghostwriter at all, and makes me wonder whether there was a whole hell of lot going on behind the scenes with this book deal.

Somebody has connections. And once again as smart as we think Ron Paul is, the man is a much shrewder politician than we can even imagine. :D

this book will be number one the entire summer, propelled by RP supporters and other book worms will pick it up and become supporters!~

When you get popular, and you write a book, big publishers take notice. It is all about making money. If they know they can make a ton of money from Ron Paul because of his growing popularity, they will be sure to jump on board.

Dr. Paul knows exactly what he is doing. He has been in this game long enough to know how it works. He is not a rookie.

The creator of that site has already stated the affiliate profits are going to the campaign! The affiliate money will help Ron Paul (and will only hurt Amazon's bottom line).

They've published many NY Times Best Sellers...

They published Colbert's " I Am America (And So Can You!)" for one...

So what exactly does it mean when it says "audio book"? The link at the Daily Paul takes you to Amazon.com where you can prepurchase an audio book. Is this a book and a CD? Or is it an entire book on audio only? sounds strange.

Haha. Usually I don't read 3-star threads with a low number of posts because it typically means someone 1-starred it, then someone else (usually the OP) got bitter and 5-starred it.

commas there mean the same as periods over here, so it's probably 13.999 billion.

That book bomb site just like the blimp is happy to EARN money off of the efforts of supporters.

Its pitiful in my opinion BUT guess what everyone loves money and will do most anything to get it.

The blimp crew all earned 2 grand a month including the web admin who just sits here like us, that should be done by VOLUNTEERS right???? We all have jobs and things to do as well but we VOLUNTEER for the greater good.

If anything ALL the affiliate money that b.s. book bomb site earns should go 100% to fund ron pauls campaign.

So the question is WHOS SITE IS IT and I would love to hear what they will use the affiliate funds for?

Same with the yahoos in the ron paul friday site who is happily affiliated with a t-shirt selling site and getting commissions off of it as well.

VOLUNTEERING is different from PROFITEERING people

Just means you can listen to it audibly. Like while you are driving or at home. Just plug it in to your tape or cd player and someone will read it for you. This is good for me, because I am in the car a lot.

Yep, they mean business by getting it published and supported by a company that can give the book a "real" shot at promoting it. I think this can be bigger than we think! :)

Ron Paul deserves every penny he makes off this book. He has foregone over a year and counting now of his life to spread this message. The guy is 73 and most that age would be playing with grandkids and watching the Price is Right. He is a true hero. I have never said that about anyone in the public eye during my lifetime. (I'm 28).

I wouldn't even buy the book used on-line. Got my brand new copy pre-ordered!

2 Grand a month is nothing, man. That's an annual income of $24,000, barely above the poverty line with today's rising costs.

just a FYI, Ron Paul's book from last year, A Foreign Policy of Freedom: Peace, Commerce, and Honest Friendship, is currently ranked #219 on amazon, which means it is still a HUGE seller, more than 6 months after it was first released.

Grand Central Publishing is the new name of Warner Vision Publishing. They are HUGE! I was actually really surprised when I saw who the publisher was. Primarily they publish thriller books, such as James Patterson and even published Stephen Colbert's book. Most people buy books just on the name of Grand Central/Warner Vision.

QFT.

Not sure if you are implying that I believe in a mysterious billionaire, which I don't. However, I think you were stating my point saying that publishers want to make money because it is a business. Like I said. RP is and has gotten popular. If a publisher can make money from his book, they are going to publish it because they know they can make money. My statement has nothing to do with a mysterious backing of a billionaire. Only stating basic business sense.

They were getting expenses paid too - so - that was $500 clear each week,

with one person claiming to be a "volunteer", but we found out later they got paid too.

Now that same person has come here asking people to just give them $5000 to start their own company.

Plus, at first they wanted $1000 a week - they only went to $500 after people complained.

Still, out of the about $400,000 donated - $25,000 was paid out to who knows who exactly -

we asked for oversight like they promised on the website - but they balked at fulfilling the promise - so we don't know who got what

All you'd have to do is read some of the other threads about the bookbomb to see that the creator has stated the profits will be going to the campaign.

Yes, this is ridiculous. If you recall, the book was not even ranked before the Book Bomb was launched. And now it's #3 and you don't even want me to be able to recoup hosting costs and max out my donation to the campaign?

If you don't use the link on the site, which is perfectly fine with me, it just means Amazon will be keeping the money instead of Dr. Paul. The link on the site does not take away from the profits that go to the author and publisher.

I *seriously* doubt it. At least, that's not at all the trend. Most people are just buying through other links to Amazon.

Meanwhile, I just caught Lew Rockwell using an affiliate link!! Omg! Ron Paul's own best friend selling him out to pay for hosting! People will do anything for money! (sarcasm)
