With Kent Snyder all but announcing a future 3rd party run this morning on AJ this article seems appropriate.

The writer asks that you post your thoughts in the comments section of the post.

It makes a good case, but if it's true that Romney is conceding the states (which i need to see better proof of), then we only have McCain and Huckabee as competition. We could favor well with that.

I heard (so its just a rumor), that if he runs 3rd party, he may lose his chance to re-run his Congressional seat as Republican, which is also in 2008.

Kent Snyder said "this is not the end, it is only the beginning..." Referring to the possibly that Ron Paul might not fair very well on Feb. 5th
I'll try to get a transcript up, the AJ show reairs continually until Sunday at

Romney's not conceding but he's making it easier for McCain, and it is a logical conclusion that if Romney thought he had a good chance of pulling out the nomination he would be willing to write the big check that is needed, but he is not.

If Willard Romney isn't planning to advertise because he isn't sure if he can win how come he hasn't dropped out yet?

Why do you think RP wants to create a database of RP supporters from the Precinct Leader program huh?;)

cause anything can happen super tuesday, doesn't hurt to stay in and reevaluate after you have a better idea

Thompson and Giuliani stepped out cause they rather see Mccain than Romney, so thompson stayed in long enough to foil Huckabee in SC and left, Giualini well... foiled Huckabee and Romney in Florida

they would've of dropped out earlier otherwise

There is a difference between sticking it out and spending the big cash that he has at his fingertips.

please don't always read so much into the 'this isn't the end only the beginning' lines/responses - it's been far better documented that they are viewing this as a longer term education campaign, getting people educated, getting people to run on an RP platform, to get people back into the GOP who have an RP platform leaning, to take it over, etc etc - all these things take time, and thus for them it's not RP is pres or the highway - they are in it to take back the country, even if it's not via POTUS in 2008 ... that's all.

QFT.

Though I personally would like to see an Independent campaign in the event of primary defeat, people are reading WAY too much into this ( and just about EVERYTHING all the time).
