The following was posted by MusicMax over on the Washington Post blog. I just cut and pasted his comment, thought we should know so we can take action.

<snip>

Once AGAIN, the AP has CENSORED A WRITER WHO DARED TO MENTION RON PAUL. Take a look at these two links:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070805/ap_on_el_pr/republican_debate_11

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070805/ap_on_el_pr/republican_debate_12

Up until Version 11 of the story, Ron Paul's "Just come home" comment is front and center. On ALL VERSIONS SINCE VERSION 12, Ron Paul is NOT EVEN MENTIONED.

AP's number is 212-621-1500 and I am going to raise you-know-what tomorrow. This is not the first time AP has changed a story about Ron Paul, either.

</snip>

I looked back at previous versions and what MusicMax says is true - all previous versions HIGHLIGHT Ron Paul's remarks in the debate, but then version 12 is a COMPLETE REWRITE to remove reference to Ron Paul at all - and they even renamed the article.

I saw this too, I wasn't sure if I was looking at different versions or not at first.

But, Paul comments had been in the first paragraph:

DES MOINES, Iowa - Republican presidential contenders sparred over abortion on Sunday while generally agreeing the United States must remain in Iraq to help win the war on terror.

"Just come home," dissented Texas Rep. Ron Paul, the lone advocate of a quick troop withdrawal on a presidential campaign debate stage. He said there had never been a good reason to go to war in the first place. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070805/ap_on_el_pr/republican_debate)
