Today, I've had 9 people come up to me (I'm the "Ron Paul Guy" around here now)and tell me that they were called last night about Ron Paul.

None of the 9 were already Ron Paul supporters (7 were Obama), and all 9 had positive reactions. Of those 9, 5 have already changed their allegiance to Ron Paul (the call motivated them to research him) and 2 more are researching him as I type this.

Not too shabby.

Hello. Could you explain their decisions more? CT is not as bad as MA but it is MA-lite.

Thank you.

Well, of the 5 that switched their support to Ron Paul, the motivation was something like this:

1 person: "I heard he was a Republican against the war, but I didn't know that he voted against the Patriot Act." Switched to Ron Paul from Obama on the issue of civil liberties.

2 people: "We need someone who understands the economy" They switched based on his economic policies, surprisingly.

2 people: I have no idea why they switched.

Thank you, I was reasonably sure that it was not gun rights or smaller government.

If you get a chance, it would help to know what the magic economic hook was.

Thank you.
