View Full Version : Ron Paul is UNSTOPPABLE!!

In high school I was taught the following formula:

Force = mass * acceleration

I guess that Ron Paul's mass roughly is 70kg

The acceleration is about 1000000000000000000000000000m/s^2

The Force of Ron Paul's message is greater than all the nukes combined!!!!

That'd be Newton's 2nd Law. ;)

It's not really surprising that a guy who embraces the controlled demolition theory for the WTC would also get a basic physical law of kinetic energy wrong.

It's:

E = 1/2 (mass) (velocity)^2

No.

He's right. (http://www.glenbrook.k12.il.us/GBSSCI/PHYS/CLASS/newtlaws/u2l3a.html)

Um, no, he's right.

He's quoting Newton's second law, which is about FORCE.

You are quiting a formula about kinetic energy.

There's a difference. ;)

Sorry, Sean, Kinetic Energy is different than Force. Force = m*a, KE = 1/2*m*v^2

F=ma

Sean do you know something Newton didnt?

How rude of me to let views of a hippie like Newton cloud your academic insights.

You have just revealed your utter ignorance for the whole forum, congratulations Sean.

Dude...

no.

Kinetic energy != force

Oooh, an equal sign with an EXLAMATION POINT! Does that mean like, "Kinetic energy SO TOTALLY EQUALS force!"?

j/k :p

Kinetic energy ≠ force

Edit, just cause I like special characters ;)

sure...

haha this topic has gone completely out the window.

But Ron Paul is unstoppable. It's possible we're just over-analyzing the debate. The simple fact of the matter is he didn't get enough time... as usual.

SeanEdward,

The Evil Detector quoted the formula F=ma. He's right -- this is Newton's Second Law of motion. The ^2 at the end of the acceleration was part of the units - m/s^2 (meters per second squared)

The formula you quoted was the correct formula for kinetic energy -- which is NOT the same as Force.

Your criticism of The Evil Detector was unjustified.

Eh, whatever. You reveal your utter ignorance every damn day with your moonbat demolition theories.

Cut the personal attacks. I mean it.

Proving yourself correct is one thing. Rubbing it in is quite another. Knock it off.

Edit: Lets get this back on topic anyway.

I better see some Dr Paul talk or I'm locking this and moving it to the basement.

Foot in Mouth.

Your hate for those with differing views has clouded your decision making ability. Hopefully you learn from this lesson.

The accurate way to calculate force would be the derivative of momentum with respect to time.

F= dP/dt

On the other hand if you have a static acceleration then F=M*A is fine.

I wasn't arguing != doesn't mean <> . I reversed it. Never mind. It wasn't very funny.

I was just using a simple, valid and accepted formula to make a point about the popularity of RP's message, that's all.

You were mistaking "!=" for "=!" Had he said "kinetic energy =! force" he would have meant kinetic energy pwns force.

Okay, special character gurus, how do I do the energy symbol? @ except with the "e."
