Paul supporters are closed minded??
I was a registered democrat from milwaukee who firmly supports Russ Feingold and voted for john kerry in 2004 and am now a die hard Ron Paul supporter. How is it in any way closed minded to be able to look past the horrible things republicans have done, switch parties, admit that your party in fact does not have the best candidate and choose to support :gasp: a republican? There are many many former democrats just like me who have chosen to support Paul, we are the least closed minded people you will ever meet, except when it comes to issues that there is no debte-
foreign policy- the CIA terror experts agree that paul is the only candidate with the correct anti terrorism strategy
the iraq war- the only correct position is immediate withdrawal, which even the democrats are tap dancing around and won't commit to
monetary policy- the guy has only written 5 books on this subject so he's obviously clueless on this. reinstating c gold and silver currency to counter the inflation of the dollar. and if you are against ron paul you probably don't even understand the federal reserve system anyway so that's pointless to get into. if you understood how a private bank (the federal reserve, which you probably didn't even know was privately owned and has never been audited) was transferring the value from your savings and wages to wall street and the richest people in our nation through "interest rate cuts" Paul is the last person you would be trashing
voting for balanced budgets- hell yeah, there's a crazy idea! eliminating deficits and the national debt, which would only save us $400 billion a year on interest payments to china and everyone else we're in debt to. do you realize over half of what you pay in income tax every year pays only that interest on borrowed money we've already spent? but according to anti-paul people we're much better off paying that tax so we can send it to china rather than let the people that worked for the damn money in the first place use it to keep their homes from going into foreclosure and to clothe and feed our children. the ideas of your candidate sound much better
ending the military empire- do we really need 700 bases in 130 countries at a cost of 5-700 billion a year? considering the deficit is about 500 billion a year it's safe to say we can't afford it. it serves no purpose, angers militant islamic extremists and consumes the other half of our income tax. so if we eliminated the debt and this overseas expenditure we wouldn't even need an income tax. imagine every american keeping all of the money they earned. this would obviously be terrible for the economy for consumers to have all this money and terrible for us personally, being able to afford more of what we want. we're much better off having it spent on bombs, guns, bases and uniforms in countries that haven't had a conflict in 60 years.
no more foreign aid and supporting of arab tyranny- it makes us look awesome to overthrow elected governments like pakistan and install a military dictator to run it, and send him our borrowed money. and to support saudi arabia's oppressive government, and jordan who is a police state, and then tell the world we are promoting democracy in iraq.
do you need me to go on with all this ridiculous crap? have you noticed no other candidate (including the supposed saviors, the democrats) are discussing these issues? of course not, because you and people like you and are so fixed on 4 more years or 8 or 50 of this same old status quo big government crap.
thanks for publicly trashing the one man that actually has a good idea for once, and also thanks for insulting all of us that have donated our money and marched and protested so we could get him into the white house to change your life and ours.
makes me proud to be an american.
thanks again.
