Their about to report on it right now as of 4:22 eastern. If Nadar chooses to run, would this hurt ron paul by taking votes away from him??

It'll probably help him a bit with Nader taking voters from the Dem contender. Although, how anti-war is he? It could be bad; we might lose some of our single issue anti-war voters.

I would consider voting for Nader if Ron Paul doesn't win the general. It's all about how to make the biggest impact on the establishment.

(Remember, if you vote for Ron Paul as a write-in your vote will be ignored. Calculating write-ins is simply too much effort.)

Why are most of you so hostile toward Ralph Nader? I voted for Nader in 04' and I think he should talk to Ron Paul. A Paul/Nader ticket would be awesome. Anti corporate pro liberty ticket!

Nader is a little late to the party. Is this a Fred Thompson impersonation? If he does choose to run... I've lost respect for the man.

I'm fairly certain that most people who voted Nader are voting Paul this election. Nader is a good guy, but his economics are well, ummm, not one bit practical at all. He still had my vote in 2000 and 2004 and were it not for him I would not have voted for anyone at all. His main thing is running with the purpose of fixing the voting system. Consider it activist campaigning.

I wouldn't worry about him, plus the Dems will likely make it hell for him to get on any ballots.

I think Santa Claus supports the Patriot Act. He sees you're when your sleeping. He knows when you're awake. He knows if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake... and all that.

Plus we need someone who works hard year round. Not some fat old guy who purportedly relies on child labor to cram to get a year's worth of work done at the last minute.

Let's put it this way...I may not agree with about half of what he says...but he is principled...and honest. That would have been a welcome change in 2000. He's not viable today IMO...not after he's waited for a month of primaries to pass.

Isn't it odd that any time a good candidate runs, all these other "candidates" jump out of the woodwork and run. Seems to water things down. Maybe if Everybody jumps in we can have the Supreme Court decide. Yeah that's the ticket. Too close to call.:D

That url seems to indicate he's serious. On 2nd thought, this could be a real problem. As we stand there are a great many pure liberals among our ranks. Thank you all for being here by the way. Unfortunately, Nader may attract some of them.

You don't need to be a sell-out to be a socialist. Socialism is thinking that the government runs economic things better than the free market. You can have a great argument about that, but clearly it doesn't mean they think personal freedom is bad.

Good, now all the third party zealots will leave Dr. Paul's forum and have their champion of pointless campaigns.

I do agree with Nader's anti-corporate message. Frankly, corporations are not free market and I think they should be abolished. Unfortunately, this will probably never happen so I would instead support putting restrictions on corporations that receive a cent of federal subsidy. Treat the like the government, regulate them, make them treat everyone equally. I think a lot of the "raar anti-business bad" sentiment comes from the mistaken notion that we have anything even close to a free market. I would probably vote for Paul/Nader but it's highly unlikely that I would get a chance to.
