With my deepest soul searching, I have to say that The St.Paul needs to re-assure the People of his well thought out Plan to turn this Titanic Ship around. He needs to speak to the majority. Most are fighting traffic, fighting to keep their jobs, homes and sanity. I like most, have lived beyond my means and am paying the price. I bought into the credit scam ..it was sooo easy. Now the whole way of life has hit the ice burg. The Debt Collection business is having a party in America(but most of my calls sound like they are outsourced ). My point being... Dr Paul needs to remember to drive home He knows that We are "Broke". We as typical citizens Have run up credit that we can not pay back since we can not just go & print up the money like the Fed Reserve can. Yet, we are still having to not only bear the burden of our own private debt, but also we have to take the brunt of the US Debt.

My 1st priority is to keep a roof over my family's head, food on the table, lights on and water running..American needs to do the same for her citizens.
Me ... It was a blessing to lose my job in October. Or I would still be blind to the real crisis in front of me.

So are you of the opinion that America is required to give everybody a job, food, pay their utility bills, and keep a roof over their head? Doesn't sound like the sort of thing that Ron Paul would advocate - sounds more like socialism to me.

I am sorry that you have mis understood my intent of the posting or perhaps I did not explain my position properly.

I do not think America needs to be a Welfare Union... I am PRO Ron Paul 150%.

My Feeling is The Administration needs to Bootstrap the spending for essentials.
For OUR Nation.

I am disgusted that the elite on the Hill voted themselves a payraise when in fact the state of the nation can not afford it.

What do you mean by "bootstrap the spending for essentials"? Sorry, but I simply don't understand what you are advocating.

Not quite how I interpreted it.

I gathered he is saying that America should look after America's interests first, and not try to take care of the world.

I am not Advocating anything... I am a person that is waking up to the reality. I do however Advocate the Election of Dr Ron Paul.
The reality is that the country is in debt and its people are in debt. Dr Paul knows economics. When he takes his oath in 2009, that is when the overspending will stop and accountability of those in DC will begin.
Perhaps then We The People can go back to and follow the Constitution.

No judgement rendered or even intended. I was just trying to interpret what the OP was advocating.

(Judgements come later) ;)

Maybe this could be classified as a little reality.

Go to the main "Ron Paul Forums" page and watch the numbers scroll through the number of precincts in the States and especially the % represented. Without representation of precincts available, and % represented. It may not matter what Dr Ron Paul(Phd-MD) does beyond what he has been doing if these numbers don't change dramatically.

Look at the numbers representing % representing - 13%, 6%, 4.3%, 11%, 4.3%, 4.3%, 15%, 6%..... And the numbers, just as slight, keep rolling on. If these numbers don't change, Dr Ron Paul's representation at the conventions won't be noticeable at all.

I don't hear this person saying the government owes him anything.

I want the government to quit subsidizing large multi-national corporations. Is that socialism? I want our country to be economically strong and able to take care of our weak, is that socialism?

I wondered outloud many a time, why can't we spend $195 million a day to repair infrastructure or return it back to the states to use on their budget shortfalls. You know things like that. Does that make me a socialist?

Weird.
