The War of Independence

[Gimme Some Truth]

As a side-hobby I make computer game modifications and I have been thinking of making a multiplayer game centred around the American Revolution.

I know very little about the weaponry used and the different types of combat classes(if any) were around in those days.

For example , in a modern day war game you'd have classes something like this :

1. Assault class
He'd have something like:
Knife
Pistol
Carbine
Frag grenades
Smoke grenades

2. Sniper
Knife
Pistol
Sniper rifle
Claymores
deployable camo 'tent'

3. Engineer
Knife
shotgun
mines
deployable barbed wire
wrench

etc etc



Obviously , war is very different now , but I was hoping that an American Revolution buff could help me. :)

Er. Half-Life and Half-Life 2 have a modification called "The Battlegrounds", which is a first person shooter set in the American Revolution. You can shoot to play as the British, or American forces. Its a little arcadey, but its still fun..

The Dark Side in KOTOL has way cooler toys than the Light Side does.
