Last updated 08/05/07 – List of state organizer groups
Dear Meetup Organizers,
a while ago we asked you to create state groups that YOU, the local organizers and not some coalition control. We want to get everyone talking within a state and create an easy way for states to connect with all organizers in adjoining states. About half of you have been individually e-mailed and the rest will be about this.
We have suggested using Meetup forums for this,but some states use message forms or phone and e-mail lists. Patricia Davis has a forum where she will host state organizer groups also:

We want these to be independent, and grassroots based. That is bottom up with the local organizers running things and making their own decisions. Use them to propagate messages rather than subscribing to and posting to every Meetup in your state. Find people to man tables at fairs, go in with other groups to get a better price on campaign materials, organize rallies and brainstorm.
If you are a Meetup Organizer and have not already, there is a national board for organizers to talk and share resources and ideas:

Between these 2 sister groups, we represent a gathering of over 200 Meetup Organizers. We are not here to tell you what to do, just provide a venue for sharing ideas and resources and in 511's case, getting manpower directed at specific, short lived events.
The following have been identified as Organizer state groups. I'm sure I've missed some and in one or two cases, they may have a more local focus and are on this list erroneously. Please send any updates and corrections to: tangent4ronpaul AT yahoo DOT com.
We are about 30 shy of having the whole country covered. If your state is not covered, please remember that you can create 3 Meetups for the cost of one, and create one for your state. Also, contact all other Meetup organizers in your state and ask them to join when one is created and also to join us on the National groups.
