"I'd tell him: 'Thanks, John, I've been there. I've done that. You can find much better,'" said Lieberman. He said he would likely attend the Republican National Convention in September, but only if McCain will be the nominee. However, Lieberman emphasized his activity on behalf of McCain should not be mistakenly viewed as a sign he has any interest in switching his affiliation to the Republican Party.
