wow if I were to talk these polls seriously, I would have to conclude that the members of the GOP don't really want to win the whitehouse next year.

Actually they called 402 people but only found 100 registered repubs to actually take the poll.

A poll of 100 people is pretty meaningless if a person was to ask me.

Turn out the lights on the America that once was. Someone put something in the water and it stinks. Where's our next frontier? I've been proposing Greenland.

No kidding. I'll probably have a Ryder Truck loaded up and be somewhere near the Canadian border during the elections. There's about five of the so-called top tiers that if elected, I am outta here immediately .

these are percentages not people..

and I am not surprised that out of 400 republican voters that voted for bush last election only 2% are voting for ron paul.. this poll means absolutely nothing

if i knew 400 people that voted for republican (bush) in the last election it wouldn't phase me if 98% of them didn't know who ron paul was

Interesting that only 28% of the people polled said they have visited a candidate website. Either Iowa really isn't very wired, or the polling population is very uninterested in researching the choices.

This is what we must base the post results on. The Pre-Polling puts Ron Paul at 2% + or - 5%. So the most this "scientific" poll allows for out of 30,000 straw poll voters is 2,100 votes.

We need to substantially better than 2100 votes in the straw poll to be able to say that these polls are all bullshit.

xita you are absolutely correct, BUT we need to make sure its a legitimate count as well, exit polling should DEFINITELY be done and by an independent over-seen source.

This is where the "old" media is at its best since alot of folks are not "wired"....and unfortunately the media is going to marginalize....it is really sick that what you will most likely see is the bulk of the debate air time going to these supposed "front runners" which makes these kinds of things ridiculous....what they really need to have is something like a 2 week "crossfire"type SHOW where each candidate can face up man to man which allows them more than 30 seconds to address issues/ideas and let the non-wired public know more than almost nothing about them.....if the public thinks that ron paul is not the most honest and trustworthy then they just don't know Dr. Paul!! WE HAVE TO LET THEM KNOW!!

EVERY person has to share with their friends and so on so that they can tell their friends and this "grows"...when you read one of Dr. Paul's books you cannot help but see he stands tall above the rest of these politicians as recognizing where we have "gone astray" in our slide to the "police state" where nearly everything you do needs gov. permission.

I'd be willing to bet that number is higher than the national average at this point.
