Bump this thread if you donated to help get more donations!

I just found out about this great idea thanks to the banner on the front page, but I went into the website and only about $400 is donated so far out of $60,000 needed. Why is this? The blimp is now dead, so put all your money into this. Why would people not want to get a newspaper all about Ron Paul to every Super Tuesday house? This is a great opportunity to spread Ron's message everywhere. We're putting the information right in front of them. All they need to do is read it, and it's right before Super Tuesday also, so it would be fresh in their mind as they go out to vote. I'll list what's on the website below...

----------------

Hi there, my name is Crystal Broyles and I am a 22 year-old diehard, freedom loving, liberty craving, Ron Paul for President supporter. I have been working to rally the grassroots troops in an 11th hour campaign effort.

Here's what we are doing:

We are planning to print and distribute a Ron Paul newspaper to be tossed on driveways in Super Tuesday states. If the media will not give Dr. Paul the coverage he deserves, let's get him that coverage!

Since the media will not allow us to reach people from their TV sets, let's reach them from their driveways and door steps. We all have been working very hard canvassing neighborhoods with literature about Dr. Paul. And that is fabulous. The information we were handing out however, did not have printed information about when to vote and the information was limited. People were encouraged to go to RonPaul2008.com and read more about him. However, in the day and age we live in, time is limited and when we are looking for information we want it now, we don't want to have to read something in our hands and then go to our computers and do more research.

Solution:

I have taken all the information about where Dr. Paul stands on issues from RonPaul2008.com and laid it out into a newspaper format. If we can get these on most of the driveways in the 24 states which vote on the 5th, I believe we can win. The 'newspaper' boldly tells people to vote on Tuesday, February 5th and then it outlines who Dr. Paul is, where he stands on issues and also features some articles he has written and the article written by Mrs. Paul about 'The American Dream'. To make this possible we need your help. Please make a printing donation and also let the members of your MeetUp group know about this monumental newspaper! If you want to coordinate paper delivery in your area, please let me know, ASAP. We only have a few days until the vote!

UPDATE: I contacted the guy in charge about including larger images, and this is what he had to say...

We are working on getting larger images up. Please tell people for
now that all the text was taken from RonPaul2008.com I did that
because I wanted everything in this publication to be authentic.
There are no opinions -- it right from the source. :-)

Thanks for all your help!

Sorry for the second thread, but I couldn't edit the title of the first one, and I made this one a lot more informative and effective.

How about you post some high quality versions of the newspaper. Perhaps a pdf?

Great Idea - but is it really possible to pull it off in only a week?

They're not on the main site from what I can tell, so you'd have to contact whoever owns the site.

Crystal Broyles needs to get on the forums and dailypaul if he wants his effort to succeed.

I have tried to get 2 different efforts off the ground, and I would spend almost 2 entire days pumping it up initially. They both failed.

This is a great idea, but there isn't enough transparency (as i have been told). Fix it up crystal so we can support this.

Well, I contacted him and told him he needs to make it possible for everyone to read the newspaper, instead of small images, and then he might get more donations.

Great idea, could help reach non-internet-savvy people such as ourselves, which we focus too much on.

What? only 30 donated. Cmon guys and gals we can do better than this. This is very important to Ron Paul campaign. If 60,000 supporters just donate $1 then we would have achieved our goal. We need this before Super Tuesday.

Every time the creators of this newspaper made a post asking for donations I requested HQ images or pdfs be posted to the site. They still are not there. I cannot donate until I can read the paper.

sorry I don't trust it.

show me the goods first I always say.

His excuse that the pdf is to large to share makes no sense. he can make the images jpgs and text always takes up the same amount of memory, no matter how large you print it.

I smell a scam.

This kind of project seems absolutely perfect for the official campaign to do themselves. They can cough up $60,000 in a heartbeat, especially to put a newspaper at every Super Tuesday Republican's doorstep. Or is the $60,000 a printing cost, and we're relying on volunteers to do the physical part? Even then, have the campaign pay for the material, mail them to meetup groups, and then have members pass them out.

It kindof baffles me the campaign isn't already doing something like this. (If they did, I'm sure someone on the forums would be saying they got one).

I was just about to say that... You have to get it out to all the ron paul sites and the meetup groups, otherwise no one really knows about it.

Maybe we can put it in an insert in local papers or direct mail

Without a pdf this is a waste. The guy himself didn't even come on here. Maybe if he can get a pdf before the general election people will support it.
