This is GOOD NEWS because it means they can spare an extra minute for Ron Paul to speak.

Yeah, the Ghoul has been a great motivator for us. Sorta sad to see him go, but in another way, it's very satisfying to KNOW that we ran a much stronger campaign than that fascist and we're still in it.:D

Interesting that only 10 mins ago CNN who is HOSTING the debate and would know the details said they would have Rudy's chair out but was NOT sure if he would be there.

How long do you think it will be before McCain realizes WE come along with the Rudy supporters? :D

McCain is a lot easier to oppose than Giuliani. What did McCain actually do except vote in the senate with both pockets full of cash?

WilliamC
01-29-2008, 10:51 PM
Well let's see, Huckabee is already a Ron Paul clone as he has taken over Ron Paul's positions, Romney will have to do more to contrast himself from McCain and that means being more Conservative like Ron Paul.

So now we have Ron Paul, Ron Paul mini-me, and Ron Paul wanna-be running against McCain the neocon RINO.

Right?

I heard some media smears about McCain's lack of conservatism today, so maybe it'll catch on.

Amazing, even with just 4 Republicans left, ABC can't seem to find the space to fit in good ole media punching bag Ron Paul. I guess their studio bus - I mean jpeg - was just too small.

RIGHT! In fact, yesterday he said he would BE in the debate tomorrow no matter what. So unless he changes his mind, totally, that is where he will be.

Come on people. They didn't leave Ron out because they only had room for 4.

If anything they'll now latch on the 3 vs 3 angle.

i hope he doesn't show up, even though if he does he'll for sure get a electability question and that will be fun to watch. If he doesn't show up RP will get more time and that is absolutely essential for the last debate before super tuesday. I'm praying for him to slip in the shower or something

you know, I bet even if in the morning he officially drops out and at night he shows up for the debate he will still get more time than Paul =(

If Guliani shows up for this debate it will be for one purpose. A GOP strategic move to screw over Ron Paul.

He will consume his debate time and to keep him quiet. The GOP doesn't want Ron Paul speaking and the MSM is more than happy to oblige them.

I expect to see Rudy in this debate and I expect Ron Paul to be screwed yet again. After the debate I wouldn't be suprised to see Guliani step out of the race and endorse McCain.

This is the last debate for Super Tuesday and this is where Ron Paul needs to make his final stand on the issues and PLEASE CALL THESE COOKIE CUTTER POLITICIANS TO THE CARPET! PLEASE!

We don't know how long this 'endorsement' will take, and we don't know if he'll walk out with everyone else & waste time making the endorsement during the debate.

And with Rudy's reputation, an endorsement to McCain might hurt him.

Why go to California? Maybe he had lunch or dinner plans with Schwarzenegger?

If he's in the debate, it'll be a GOP stunt to diminish Ron Paul. Be sure.

I'm really looking forward to RP to getting some airtime in these debates.

He sure as hell is crazy. McCain may like war, for the sake of war. But with Rudy, there was this strong racist overtone to his warmongering. I was worried about him more than anyone else. Of course, I never seriously considered that McCain would make it this far. I still can't believe that he will take it given his batshit insane comments and the fact that it looks like he may very well be picking Lieberman as his VP. What Republican would vote for a 72 year old with a democratic running mate?

my god... McCain is much worse than Giuliani... 100 more years... 100...

Come on, they're ALL "100 more years" candidates. The only difference is, McCain actually had the balls to SAY it.

He's getting the majority of his votes based on voters liking HIM, instead of deciding on the issues. How sad is that?

FoxNews reported ~30 minutes ago that Rudy was flying out to California and would be at the Reagan Library. Do you really think they are going to give RP equal airtime in the last debate before Feb 5 ? These are the same people (Politico) who said on CNN this morning that they are expecting the debate to be a 2-person conversation between McCain and Romney.

I don't youtube, maybe somebody else caught it. Anyway, I'm beginning to see the puzzle pieces come together.

I agree 100%. It's already, as you say, a conversation with Romney and McCain. Even Huckleberry is sidelined.

Sounds to me like his "VP Presidential" acceptance speach. Rudy was in town to visit us a few weeks back... we were on a hill doing our thing wave'n signs for Ron Paul and good ole Rudy looks up and waves to us. He received half a cool point for that effort. Not to get all emotional, the laughing at Ron Paul during the debates piled up so many negative cool points he'll be a long time coming before he earns my respect.

Harder, not impossible. But more obvious.

A lot is riding on tonights debate, yes?

I think Ron Paul will get about just as much time as in the previous debates, which wasn't much, but enough to get the message out. They are afraid of his message and will attack it at the debates, and this is where Ron Paul shines, when he is attacked. He verbally dominates any and all attacks, and any slightly intelligent person will think he is logical, unless they are a neo-con or socialist.
