I just don't get it. Here we are on the brink of an economic meltdown and the one candidate who knows dick about the economy is the republican frontrunner. 70% of Americans are against the war and the biggest warmonger in the bunch is the republican frontrunner. Holy hell, people have lost their minds.......... I am so frustrated!!

You know, I think you're right. 6 months ago I was just like them. It's a shame Americans aren't required to research their candidates and the issues before casting a ballot. Voting should at least require knowledge of what's going on in the world.

don't get so worked up about it. it'll all be over when the sun burns out. at least we have something definite to look forward to.
seriously, most people don't have very good reasoning abilities. an informed and reasonable person could not vote for anyone but ron paul. we know there is a lot of misinformation and bias in the MSM. since most people don't take responsibility for their lives, they choose the main outlets to get information from. it's truly horrendous and i think the founders would be mortified if they were alive today. you just have to keep talking to people and informing them, one at a time.

The United States is too big -- geographically and in population. When the Constitution was ratified (during the unlawful coup against the legitimate, "perpetual" union governed by the Articles of Confederation), there were approximately 3 million people and 13 states in America. There was also one congressman for each 30,000 people (today it is roughly one per 600,000), Senators were elected by the state legislature to preserve States' rights, and only landowners could vote; today we have nothing more than mob rule and a federal government that makes the British Empire circa-1776 look like a drunken substitute teacher at the reform school.

1.Old people vote IN DROVES and they outnumber us.

2.Old people do not use the internet, they rely on the MEDIA to give them all the information they need to know.

3.Old people vote for who the media say is the best candidate to win.

4.The media makes those candidates they want to win the center of attention.

5.Old people know no better option exists.

6.More younger people only show up to vote in the general elections to pick the lesser of two evils and usually just think the primaries are to pick the face of a party of whom the party will determine the platform the candidate will run.

7.Most think the personal views of a candidate, especially the ones given during debates are just to give feel-good political talk and things to get you elected.

8.People are not motivated enough to fight for a change. Even more people are unaware that any possibility for change exists! (see rule #4)

9. Younger people are too naive to care about what happens in the primaries and would much rather be watching TV. These same people believe the government will take care of us.

10. There is a small minority who cares about politics and an even smaller minority who want change!!!

11. The ONLY way we are going to change the current political situation, sans armed revolution, is either to permanently change political affiliations and cause the rise of a new political party to attempt to dissolve one of the major parties, or we can wait out about twenty years to when our generation becomes the voting bloc and our children vote like we do.

12. Revolution WILL ONLY HAPPEN after society has began to collapse and will not occur under the grip of a totalitarian government. It will need to reach a breaking point for that to occur and all other variables will need to be aligned for it to take place; namely majority media support and minority political support.

Do you wish for me to keep going?

I know we don't think much of surveys, but I saw a survey once that said only 13% of Americans are able to take a set of facts and draw a logical conclusion from the facts.

On the other hand, at one time, support for the Revolutionary war was less than 10%. Guess which group in the above statistic those Sons of Liberty were from?

We're the early adopters of the Freedom meme. It's always a good idea to remember that.

Yeah join the club. Many of us have felt this way for many years. I voted for Reagan in 1984 and Ron Paul in 1988. But even though some of this is frustrating the positive thing is Ron Paul has done more for liberty in the modern era then anyone or any party or any think tank or any magazine etc. for a very long time! We're taking this thing to the convention and BEYOND. This is not about one election.

It's already happening.

I just hope that more are waking up, and that we haven't peaked. like "that's it. all the smart people are already supporting him, you don't get any more". That would be bad. We all need to move to one state and succeed from the union when it collapses. Atlas shrugged baby.
I wonder if there were a bunch of smart people in pre-nazi germany shouting "Wake up you fools"!! Or in the Soviet Union before the collapse going "Uh Oh". The thing is, I don't want to be boarding an airplane in six months watching people whining about their national ID cards and 63% tax rates and the NAU. I want them to wake up now, so I can leave my son a free country to live in.

John McCain has really high name recognition and old people feel comfortable voting for someone they've heard of. Droves of old people also feel comfortable sitting on their asses pulling levers at Indian casinos pissing away their social security checks. Most don't even need these checks nor the prescription drug benefit. This costly debacle was designed to get votes at the expense of the taxpayer and benefit the drug industry. Also, the neocons have scared the hell out of these old people that the Islamic bogeyman's coming to get them. Common sense seems to have disappeared.

they dont' have the cognitive skills required to understand that Ron Paul is the man. It doesn't help that he doesn't explain his ideas in EXTREMELY simple terms. That is all it would take.

As for all of us... just start thinking bigger. If you make some millions, just don't start kickin it in the Caribbean, start a local newspaper, do SOMETHING

Holy hell, people have lost their minds.......... I am so frustrated!!

I have become so jaded in the last few months that sometimes I can't even feel my pulse anymore. I knew things were bad, but I never thought that so many people didn't understand it.

In some ways I guess, it was inevitable. As people began to realize that "government" could pay for services, it began to instill a kind of trust in them. Like anything associated with a government program carried with it a blank check. Once that happened, the republic began to wither.

This economic crisis we are about to get smacked in the teeth with is not the result of the Iraq War, nor is it a result of Social Programs. Those two are just the icing on the cake. This economic meltdown is the result of 60 years of the government borrowing money to fund every program, every war, and every dime of foreign aid, and then paying off that money with funds recieved from borrowing even more money. Every cent in our economy is on loan. That is why people rightly call it a house of cards.

If Hillary or Obama win, and they will if the republicans don't realize what they have done to themselves, one of two things will happen.

1. They will be framed as the worst president in the history of the US. Simply because of what they are unwittingly about to inherit. There is no way for socialistic Ideas to stop what is about to happen. Nothing can. For Christs sake we have a combined debt of somewhere around 25 trillion, right now. And only increases every day. The entire global GDP is something like 80 trillion. Our debts combined, national, entitlment, and trade, is 1/4 of the entire worlds GDP. 1/4 for christs sake. When all the Boomers retire, and the majority will be retiring between 2010-2015, our entitlement will spike to almost 70 trillion. They will occupy the presidency during that time, and the public will hold them accountable for it.

2. Becuase of the above, there will be some social unrest, and the people will beg for every single government handout they can get, It will usher in a "what will you do for me" time. It will force politicians to comply with the demands of the looters, and socialism will take over. A period of mediocrity will set in, the infrastructure will crumble under it's wieght, the people will be forced to pay more, and more, and more until they can pay nothing else. And then maybe, people will finally understand that they should have got off their fat asses, and cared.

If you acknowledge what is going on, then you have to do something about it. Some people haven't been affected yet. Once they are or realize they are, they will jump on board. It's like anything else, if we know something we have to act. But a revolution is the only thing that can save us. Most people logically know this and that is scary. How many years of education do people have telling them to trust the government, the government will help, the government will protect you. It's like finding out your parents are not your parents. Everything you know is wrong and a lie. Pretty difficult to accept.

I don't understand it either. McCain is the worst on candidate on the issues that supposedly matter. He may very well win the Repub nomination but is going to get crushed in the general election. I've always voted Republican, but the party is dead to me now. I not only won't vote for McCain, but I'll probably vote for the Democrat, even though I'm repulsed by their policies. But if McCain and Bush are the best the Repubs can come up with then I no longer care.

Write in Ron Paul. Don't destroy your integrity by voting for a lesser evil, vote for what is right. The lesser Evil has been kicking our asses since 1913.

A compromise here, and lack of effort there. Pretty soon you end up only voting for what is handed to you, not for what you feel is right.

I will never waste one single vote on one more stupid assed Partisan peice of shit, that only wants to stand in my way. Socialists don't give a damn about the poor, without a poor class they'd never be elected, not one single social program would work if everyone was succesfull. Which is why they need the poor, and they need the poor tio stay that way.

Same thing for the Neo-cons. They need a threat, something to scrae the vote out of people.

What a friggan mess we are in.

That's the most disturbing part. That's what it's going to come to if things continue along this path.

The thing is, the government may be able to hold off any recession for a short (relatively) amount of time. But the longer we take to not face the problem, the harder it will hit us. It could of hit us 8 years ago, it could hit us harder today, it could cripple us 10 years from now.

What is scary (if it isn't already) is if this will continue to go further....and further..and further.

Sadly, it will take a major event to change people's minds

You can blame it all on the old, retarded folks in Florida who like McCain himself are "losing it".

And I bet the rest of McCain voters didn't watch these 3 videos
