Media Blackout Spreads to Web as Establishment Invades Election

Fans and supporters of dependable Republican Presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul (R) Texas, were surprised yesterday when word began to spread that the encouraging underdog candidate, obstetrician and 10-term Congressman from Austin was purposefully excluded from the official MySpace/Election2008 Forum page.

To many astute political observers, this comes as no surprise. The commercial-media (media whose stockholders value profit over integrity) have disavowed Paul's candidacy from the beginning. The earlier assaults on Dr. Paul took the form of polls without his name and failing to include his name equally with other candidates who support the commercial-media war machine.

As the blogosphere erupted each time Paul was omitted from a web article or poll, the hardcore web supporters raged with vigilance, scouring "Ron Paul" RSS feeds from Google News for any sign of impartiality. Begrudgingly, some web-based, commercial-media began to include Ron Paul. Others, like the neocon-oriented "Red State" banned Paul supporters from making positive comments about the candidate, while negative comments were allowed. But, while the future credibility of a few web sites sustained irreparable damage, the overall effect of including Rep. Paul seems to have been positive.

Having found an outlet for years of betrayal from the neocons who had subverted the Republican party, the Ron Paul Revolution was born. The core message was simple: Stop borrowing money from other countries to pay for wars overseas when America has plenty of issues at home.

At first, the talking heads at the commercial-media decried Paul's supporters as misguided spammers. They were slandered as the second coming of the tinfoil hat brigade. Many Paul supporters had their patriotism questioned by the commercial-media because they were not buying the party line about the war on drugs, Iraq, 9/11 or the I.R.S.

The wiser pundits softened their stance on Paul on November 4, when he raked in record-breaking 4.3 million dollars in one day. Clearly, this was not a small group of radicals. This was a large group of radicals. On December 16, Paul broke his own record with another "Money Bomb" fundraiser generating 6.1 million dollars. This was a large group of organized radicals with jobs.

Many wonder why the media would conspire in such a way.

Beyond the loss of advertising dollars propelled by the constant cgi "scroll" and color-coded alert system of the corporate war, most CM are are part of larger organizations. G.E., one of the world's biggest weapons manufacturers also owns NBC Nightly News, MSNBC, CNBC, Dateline NBC, etc.

Newscorp owns Fox News, O'Reilly Factor, Hannity & Colmes, and, in July 2005, bought MySpace for 58 million dollars. With that purchase alone, MySpace "friend," "Tom," may have sold Rupert Murdoch the keys to the 2008 U.S. Presidential Election. Try as they might, the MySpacers can't escape the fact they are in bed with Bill O'Reilly and Rupert Murdoch's neocon agenda. This point is highlighted by their passivity in accepting Rep. Paul's exclusion in the Forum.

"Activism today is woefully ineffective. Everybody is subdivided into too small of groups." explains politcal analyst John Lilly in San Francisco. "...You have people opposed to killing in a war for oil, but if you oppose abortion they won't even talk to you. None of the radical groups are able to come together for a common cause like they did in sixties." Lilly continues, "Now, with Ron Paul, you've everybody playing patty-cake politics and self-policing themselves as if being polite wins elections. Those supporters need to be let off their leashes and encouraged to fight back much harder. Who is running the show? People vote for leaders, not facilitators. Why aren't there a hundred people picketing the lobby of MySpace? It's like the youth have traded liberty for one of Orwell's 'telescreens'."

And, while Ron Paul may be the President of the internet, some recent statistics reveal how shaky even that platform can be.

A recent survey by AdAge magazine revealed that, although 26% of survey respondents visited a candidates MySpace page, only 1% of that 26% "Friended" Paul compared to a 30%-40% "Friend-Through" rates achieved by the other candidates. The key, according to the study, is "persuasion." The ability to continually communicate a message over time via other media. Without equitable commercial-media coverage, Ron Paul is not receiving the same persuasion-effect as the others. Despite that handicap, Paul's MySpace supporters still outnumber his Republican comptetitor's between 400-1000%. While Rep. Paul's numbers dwarf those of his rivals and he consistenly beats a candidate like Giuliani in the primary caucuses across the country, Giuliani - not Paul, was invited to the "Closing Arguments" MySpace/MTV forum scheduled for MySpace February 2nd, just days before the Feb. 5th "Super Tuesday" caucuses nationwide and one day after the Congressman's Feb. 1 "money bomb."

MySpace and Rupert Murdoch's globalist persepctive have found a convenient partner in the "youth-oriented" MTV culture of instant gratification. MTV is owned by CBS, the parent company of Westinghouse ... manufacturer of engines for rockets, missiles, drones and other warcraft. Both News Corp and General Electric are members of the cult-like Council on Foreign Relations. The CFR is currently under scrutiny for secretively discussing the abolition of America's sovereignty without any official authority - only economic and legislative manipulation.

Here is where the story gets interesting for the uninitiated. There really is a CFR. They don't wear tinfoil hats. Dr. Paul has consistently spoken out against the CFR and their attempts to control the media. That may be a fool's errand. The CFR is the media. Paul speaks out against the Federal Reserve's failed monetary policy. Alan Greenspan is on the CFR. Who else is in this secretive, influential cabal? Clinton. McCain. Which one of these people has more to lose from a vibrant Ron Paul candidacy?
