Why is Politics like this??

Why do we focus so much on "oh this candidate visits this state" "he's beating the other guy by 4%" "how well do you think he'll do in pennsylvania?" "look at his daughter!" "it seems like he has a large following in this town."

I was thinking about all of that today and I am just concerned. I'm pretty sure this is what turns people off politics - the over-analyzing of meaningless factors.

Because it's a soap opera.. And the winners have already been determined.

They are just prostituting themselves to make it look like they don't know the outcome.. Making us think this is all fair game and valid.. In other words, it's all bullshit.
