For most people, change is supposed to be an ideal, a mantra, a dream, a hope, a promise, a goal.

Not something that actually happens. That would be too scary.

Besides, everyone likes to be pandered to. An honest guy--that's the type of person who might actually tell you you're fat and stupid. Who wants that?

Fear.

The establishment is afraid of losing control.

Of losing their power.

Of losing their jobs.

Perhaps even of losing their freedom if the truth of their actions ever sees the light of day.

Many powerful people have done illegal things to get where they are.

They know it, we know it, but we don't have the evidence because they control access to the halls of power.

If ever they lose that control then all sorts of secrets will come out, and they will be exposed in name and deed.

They are afraid of Ron Paul because he never sold out, he never compromised, he never forsook his principles.

They are afraid that, if he wins, they will lose all they have worked for over these last many decades.

That's why he's radioactive, because he radiates truth.

And with truth comes...JUSTICE!

Message may be a little scary, but many people are probably put off by the messenger. Let's face it, RP is no silver tongued devil.

socialism vs capitalism. Ron Paul is the only one on the capitalism side of things, the rest are just a varying degree of socialism. Obviously this makes it 1 vs all.

What makes Ron Paul so radioactive? He doesn't go along with the program, he's a fly in the ointment, he is upsetting the Establishment's applecart, so to speak.

That's why we love him.

Doesn't matter, if he was saying what the establishment wanted to hear, the media would be making him out to be the darling. His shortcomings would be overlooked and excused.

But alas, the establishment has picked Hillary.

More specifically I'd say its his ideas about monetary policy and foreign policy.

There's nothing wrong with the man or the message. The problem is people and their way of [not] thinking.

People are totally brainwashed and it begins with schooling; check out the school textbooks. It's unbelievable! And most teachers are so ill informed or politically correct, they don't bother to challenge the lies. When was the last time you heard of the constitution used as reference material for a history or government class?

Teevee tells everyone what to think and people swallow it hook, line and sinker. And there's absolutely no substance any more. The media makes a mockery of choosing the most important position in the country. But do people question it? NOOOO!

People have bought into the left/right paradigm and they won't let it go; they'll argue over abortion even as the economy crashes and burns. The biggest obstacle I've had to overcome when trying to talk to people about Ron Paul is the fact that he's a republican. That's the first question they ask and when I say "R", they just shove the literature back into my hands.

The political party system is completely corrupt and ever worried about power, control and money. I don't know about you but learning how The System actually works has been a real eye-opener for me. We the People don't count and neither does our vote. And anyone honest enough to challenge The System is considered a kook rather than the hero they are.

The only solution is to continue to attempt to wake people up, one person at a time. Hopefully it won't take bread lines, another great depression or martial law before people get it.

Message, I like it, but sometimes I am afraid of it because I have no clue how will it work out. It can go in either way good or bad.

Edit: Also would like to add, that I wouldn't want even half of the ideas Ron offers, I want him to change government slowly, not rapidly. So in the end of his presidency he will set us on the right way, so we can work our way out of this fascist pile of shit we are in right now.

I don't think it's the messege, I believe it's that once people decide to vote for him they don't change their minds. They see integrity and atleast ask themselves, "why aren't they all so principled?"

That is dangerous to them.

Exactly- most people love to talk about "change." Very few actually are willing to experience it.

The truth:

That wars can never be won. For any side.
That our economy isn't that great.
That our media is a lie and our freedoms are gone.
That the free market we preach to the world doesn't exist in our own country.
That greed rules the day.

It's like acid in the eyes of the world.
Of course they hate him. On the right and the left.

It's fine as long as they keep exchanging between them.

Mainstream media is afraid of Ron Paul because they profiteer from chaos and destruction, war and mayhem. Peace and harmony are boring and don't get ratings up.

http://www.usadaily.com/article.cfm?articleID=150276

http://www.ickypeople.com/2007/11/why-media-hates-ron-paul-and-dennis.html

WAR IS VERY PROFITABLE... Halliburton stock quadrupled in the past 6 years. They provide logistics (meals, water, tents.) to troops with no bid ,cost plus contracts. Big Media profiteer off these types of companies,at taxpayer expense.

Ron Paul rocks their profiteering boat.

Ron Paul wants to work toward ending the Federal Reserve system, a private banking cartel which is another rip off of the American public ,which they allow because they are ignorant.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYZM58dulPE

Ron Paul wants to uphold the US Constitution, which protects our individual liberties , and limits the power of government. ALL OF THE OTHER CANDIDATES RUNNING ARE CFR MEMBERS. Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) wants to abolish American sovereinty, erase USA borders with Mexico and Canada, set up the North American Union (NAU), via the SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership). All these initiatives (and more) to allow progress toward their control
of a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2664283203476025347&q=CFR&total=2574&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=1

People love to say they want change but a real and dramatic change in our direction scares the shiite out of them.
