In Alabama we are trying to coordinate where volunteers have already covered, for example group xy passed out literature on Main St in Birmingham. Is there any open sourced/networking software we can use that can illustrate what areas have been covered? Is there a way to do that with Google Earth or Maps?

This could really keep us from doubling over and give us the ability to do more specific demographic targeting (for example start with the most likely possible supporters then move on to the 2nd most likely possible supporters). I have been specifically targeting Mountain Brook, AL (98% White, Avg Income Highest in South, Completely Republican), because it has the best "bang for the buck" in the state (if these people give they give $4600). But the problem is that other individuals working dont know that I have covered this area and it would be impossible to sort it all out with email, writing, etc because of lack of manpower. (and the fact that much is done lone wolf, or small packs)
