I found this here
http://hnn.us/blogs/entries/46855.html
from the Liberty & Power blog.

Obviously, we don't like that the FISA enables warrantless searches and worse that Bush wants to grant retroactive immunity to telecoms who violated even that law!

if we weren't tied up doing 95% of the work needed to get dr. paul a couple wins, I'm sure we'd be all over this...

that said, kos is no friend of ours..

Sorry, I can't take dailykrazy serious as a real source of information anymore.

Their slanted diatribes against dr. Paul have turned me off for good. They are like the neo-cons with different colors and names.

Let them wallow in their own mental filth.

by the way, they have an absolutely terrible format for the "forum" there.

Ditto that. I used to visit, never again. They are as power hungry as the Neocons, wanting us all to live by their ideals just like them. Anyone who doesn't agree is considered less intellectual and misguided. No difference.

Wow, I always knew the DailyKos was bad, but this takes the cake. Most of those kids have no clue what libertarianism is about, so they result to name calling and logical fallacies.

I get it. DailyKOS slams the heck out of Ron Paul, and then they want to know why he and we will not march shoulder to shoulder with them.

Maybe if WE were as sure as THEY are that their (sic) progressive candidates are going to be elected, we would have time to fight legislation, one bill at a time.

Markos wants to know where we are? Avoiding him, and his site at all costs. Blowback baby.

Isnt FISA bundled into the "Economic Stimulus Plan"? That should tell you all you need to know.

This Bush administration is immoral beyond words. Only scum would bundle crap like that with a perceived as needed stimulus package.

How can anyone vote against it? But I hope they do.

oh my god, reading some of the comments there, i'm convinced noone there has a clue what libertarianism is about. How can we rail against taxes but be ok with gov't oppression into private life? Are you kidding me? Thats the other half of the fight. What a bunch of brainwashed partisan liberal idiots.

Where are libertarians on this issue? I would think the answer could be assumed for most.

Ignore them. They've lost a lot of traffic since the Revolution and they turned on their own members who support RP. I've seen threads complaining about it. Blowback is a good term.

95% of the comments of the comments are just like the article, disgusting drivel.

While Ron Paul hasn't made his stance against FISA the centerpiece of his campaign, he has certainly stated numerous times that he is against retroactive immunity. Ron Paul has bigger fish to fry than one single issue.

This is just classic misdirection. Where are the democratic candidates, and indeed the Democratically controlled Congress on this issue? By and large, they are cow-towing to Bush. They have sold us all out for their own personal power.

Markos Zúniga's reporting and opinion has shown itself to be incompetent at best and quite devious at worst with an array of false vectors that keep his readership off-step. The site have no credibility and I would view the motives behind this question with great suspicion. Besides, I don't think we'll be able to reach "left" framed people who follow Daily Kos, as they have simply strayed too far to bring back in to the Ron Paul community this election cycle.

I check it out from time to time. A lot of the posters are socialists/communists whether they realize it or not. They think the government could do all these things for us, if only we had the right people in office. Reality check: that never happens. Never depend on the government.

This goes to the very heart of the libertarian philosophy. Not the one they profess, but the one they actually hold: Not giving a shit about others.

At the core, a libertarian is a spoiled child. He (they're all male) likes to collect big toys like SUVs, snowmobiles and speed boats, then run amok with those toys in pristine environments like Yellowstone Park.

Let me describe a perfect day for a libertarian: Roaring around Yellowstone Park with his 250 HP Yamaha snowmobile, chasing herds of buffalo, deer and wolves, then mowing them down with a full-auto AK-47.

Do you really expect somebody like that to care if the US government is spying on people? Forget it, he's too busy tearing 4-wheeler tire tracks in the local soccer field. He doesn't worry about cleaning up his mess, because somebody always does.

THE REST OF US DO.
.

gotta admit that was slightly funny

edit i didnt post that, it was on kos, so i just quoted myself and copy pasted.

Yep, nothing like a day in the park, running the Hummer over endangered plants shooting ivory-billed woodpeckers out of redwoods I just cut down. The only thing more fun, is deer hunting with Dick Channey.

Haven't they openly stated that they exist to elect Democrats, NOT to support "progressive" causes"? Isn't that why they shit all over Ralph Nader and Dennis Kucinich?
