I posted about RP here as my offical endorsment, which isn't a secret and will sway no voteshttp://www.normlnj.org/

but...

NORML NJ is considering an official endorsement. don't email them please cause i'm them that will get all your emails. it's not my call though, i'm just the webmaster

im not totally sure if this type of endorsement is legal but if it is, we should seek the endorsement of all marijuana supporters. According to a statistic, about 18-20 americans have tried pot, that's not counting the families affected by the jailing of non violent drug offenders, that's a ton of votes. Don't know how it works in the States, but in Canada registered non-profits, including registered charities, can lose their registration/certification if they endorse a political party or candidate.

So my question would be, Is NORML NJ a registered non-profit/charity? If so, what are the regs concerning political endorsements and advocacy?

it would kill our 501(c)3 tax status... which doesn't mean it's out of the question
