Nothing is set but a meeting is planned with the Yates organization for tomorrow. Gonna need a lot more donations and support to make this happen.

Please visit the Ron Paul Racing ('http://ronpaulracing.com') Project web site

The Ron Paul Racing homepage has a really nice mock up of the car. You have to see it. Imagine 20-30 millions TV viewers seeing it during a 4-5 hour national telecast!

Please chip in to help make this a reality at http://ronpaulracing.com! ('http://www.ronpaulracing.com')

Primary sponsorship for the Daytona 500 should run around 300-400K. There are a lot of kickbacks to the sponsor that could be auctioned off to defray some of the cost or go to grassroots funds. As I understand now the car currently has no sponsorship deal so we may be able to have it from nose to tail. The car under discussion will be in the race based on its finish in last seasons standings so there is no risk there.

The organizer of the project is meeting with the Yates organization today so he should be posting w/ more specifics about costs and what we get.

I think that's what the meeting today is about.. what's the price for a sticker on the fender? For a big sticker on the hood, for a patch on the drivers suit, etc.. and will the driver and team endorse him, or just say "yeah.. those Ron Paul supporters paid the bill this weekend but we're all voting for McBain". It has to be a good fit all around.

You know your NASCAR friend. Yes that is last years car but I think it shows what we might be able to do nicely. Imagine 20 million or so viewers seeing a car like that on their TV screens over a 4-5 hour telecast.

not much buzz or new information about this lately. a nice idea but maybe not practical or donation fatigue has set in.

the website gives no info about how much we need and what we are getting for each amount... they need to clean this up...

I think that other than the official campaign the rest of our money should be focused on supporting this and Ron Paul Republican/pro-liberty candidates that are running for Congress.

No, it's just a bad idea that will not help Ron win, and people have realized it.

Scanner scott and Linda (granny warriors) just posted on the site blog that this is a scam. I don't know personally but they are sound serious.

Well, it doesn't look like it matters now because they're pulling the plug.

I've been watching the blog pretty closely. I think they were talking about people trying to disrupt and stall the project but i'll check and see.

This is what it says on the front page of the site:

Ron Paul Racing: Too much to handle

As you all can see the vicious lies and attacks on Ron Paul Racing are not stopping, the time and resources spent all week have been to much for our small organization to swat down. Every word in our prior statement is true and verifiable.

We tried to be as open and honest as possible while maintain our ability to discuses options for our car sponsorship with the top people in the industry. Nobody in their right mind will now. I can say we were close to three different deals that would have been mind blowing.

Our webmaster has given notice that he will be pulling out as well as three other key people. I can't do this anymore. Our job now is to do the best thing for the donors.

So, we will be instructing Pay Pal to return to the individual donors their pledges . We're all sorry but we don't have any other options. We spent $150.00 dollars building, maintaining the site and $280.00 to Scanner Scott for Cell time (Radio Interviews etc.) and expenses he said he needed. Any other expense deductions will be the cost of returning the money Pay Pal charges. A Complete final total when completed will be posted on the War room.

Thank you all for understanding,

Ron Conrad (ron.conrad@ronpaulracing.com)
