After reading Ron's Jan 28 email (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=103787) it made me wonder if we can market directly to Republican delegates prior to the convention. If we are moving toward a brokered convention where many delegates will be free to choose a candidate, then doesn't it seem obvious that we should design an outreach program directly to these delegates? Perhaps a snail mail package could be designed and sent to each, which may include a DVD and printed material on Ron. I mean, we're only talking a couple thousand people. Perhaps someone in the forums with political campaign experience could comment on the merits and challenges of such a program. I look forward to comments.

I am also curious about this. Any thoughts on contacting delegates directly? Seems to make sense.

I've been thinking about this since the Louisiana results.

Send them each Rudy's reading list + Peter Schiff books?

Rules "binding" delegates are determined by the states (http://www.gop.com/images/2008_Call_FINAL.pdf): some delegates are not bound at all, others for the first few votes (first, second or third), while other states bind their delegates until they are released.

In order to be eligible to be nominated at all [RNC Rule 40(b) (http://www.gop.com/About/Rules31-41.htm)], one requirement is to win the majority of delegates in five states (including DC and territories, RNC Rule 27 (http://www.gop.com/About/Rules21-30.htm)).
