I'm part of the Lafayette, IN meetup and we're wondering what events are taking place this coming weekend in preparation for Feb 5? How can we be of assistance (making phone calls? going door-to-door? etc)?

The closest meetup group to you is in Champaign, but as it's a college town, it's pretty well represented. But it doesn't look like there's anyone in the Kankakee/Bourbannai neck of the woods, and that's a fairly sizable city. It might be most worthwhile to canvas that area. I'll get in contact with someone around that area and inquire what efforts are being made.

Dude definitely hook up with some folks at U of I, the district that Champaign is in has 4 delegates, which makes it more important than the other dozen districts that have more residents. The delegate math in IL does its best to make Chicago irrelevant...

Kankakee/Bourbannai is in the 11th District and has 4 delegates up for grabs. The 11th also has some economically depressed areas, and Illinois State University around Bloomington/Normal.

I was going to contact Lisa on this, as she's from the area, but thought I'd run it past Scott, our states field coordinator.
