I have seen this line a few times about Dr. Paul.

I really think we need to bullshit the people with "Practicalities" like Dr. Paul will cure cancer.

Or Dr. Paul will change America for the bestest ever.

Or Dr. Paul will solve everyones problems for them because he is god and can make the world according to his will.

I think this will bring a lot of sheep in.

The reason I say this is because a lot of the sheep see "Practicalities vs idealism" ass backwards.

They say that Dr. Paul is too idealistic only in reality he is the only "Practical" candidate running. The rest of the candidates are idealistic. Like McCain or Romney on foreign policy.

So in reality the Practicalities they want is the idealism of collectivism. Which we know doesn't work.

I think I know what you are getting at. People are always saying that libertarians are unrealistic and idealist, when in fact they are the people who are not. It is idealistic to think we can have either a socialist utopia or whatever it is that religious right types want. Only the libertarian viewpoint (the viewpoint that liberty is the best choice) takes into account the practical realities of the world and show the way to the most humane and practical type of society.
