Clips for DVD

Is anybody collecting high quality video for use in a promotional DVD? I'm currently using the product that is on the forums (gotten through bittorrent) but I'm a bit dissatisfied with the quality of the video-- almost all of it looks as if it was taken straight from YouTube. We should be using at least standard definition quality in our DVD material (even if previously compressed into a format like XViD or DiVX or WMV generally would look much better than the higher compression found on YouTube.)

There has been a pretty professional dvd made for the Ron Paul Campaign. I found it here on the forums and made a few copies to hand out to people. its pretty nicely done but there isnt high quality videos cause its directly from youtube.com

That's the same DVD that I've burned 15 times and sent out with my letters. Like I said, I'm a bit disappointed in the low quality of the video overall because youtube video is considerably worse than even standard definition VHS quality, let alone DVD.
