That other thread got me thinking (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). If you support Ron Paul and the principles his campaign embodies, how could you possibly vote for anyone else?

Precisely.

Never vote for "the lesser of two evils". Because you, as a voter, will hold collective responsibility for even that "lesser" evil.

Beats me and I'm as tired of being asked who else I'd vote for as I am tired of the 3rd party question.

I could vote for some of the Libertarian/Constitution/Independent candidates...

Most of the grassroots wouldn't and won't, but a lot of the "regular" people supporting him would and are. Notice that Paul has actually gone DOWN in the Florida polls since Thompson dropped out? As has Giuliani? An effect I had not considered is taking place whereby we are already down to only two choices perceived as "realistic," McCain and Romney. The lesser of evils phenomenon is already kicking in.

You're absolutely right. Ron Paul supporters are so dedicated and refuse to vote for anyone else. I can garauntee you, I'll vote for noone else and I'll write in Ron Paul if I have too.

Remember, Ron Paul has never compromised his vote and neither should we,.

Amen. I think we need to be carefully watching those who support other candidates and keep asking these stupid questions. I literally just complained about this in the forum feedback section. If they're going to spy on us- that's bad enough. But damn if they should not only spy but be pushing their own agendas as well.

It's a no-brainer. I will carve his name into the Diebold touch screen if needed.

Now there's an idea.

Take a black magic marker to the polls.

Write in Ron Paul...on the touch screen!

heh heh.

Bump. Inquiring minds want to know. What say you, Obama and Romney supporters hiding among us?

Email from a client of mine today:

"I should share a concept with you. I call it BarfBag Voting. You end up having to vote for the lesser of two evils and it makes you so sick you know you are going to have to vomit after you vote. So you take a barf bag and use it after you leave the polls. A couple of campaigns back, I refused to do it and voted Libertarian. If I vote Libertarian this time, I am afraid one of the Socialists will win - either the Psychopathic Socialist or the Sociopathic Socialist!"

Regardless of weather Ron Paul wants to run third party or not. I believe the Constitution Party (http://www.constitutionparty.com) should put his name on the ballot anyway.

And I also believe that RP's supporters should support other Constitutional candidates weather on the Constitution Party ticket or the Libertarian Party ticket. The two major parties should not get one vote from any true constitutionalist voter. Why reward them with a vote.

If you think staying home will send a message, stop thinking it. They are not threatened by those who stay home. They are threatened when they see third or independent parties gaining support or even getting a candidate elected.

If you choose to vote for a major party candidate(if RP is not the candidate) and he wins by 2 million votes, did your vote count? No. He would have won anyway with or with out your vote. If your guy loses by 2 million, did your vote count? No he would have lost with or with out your vote.

However had you and every other constitutionalist voter voted for a third party candidate weather they win or not, your collective votes would help that party keep ballot access for the next election. For a third party that is a big part of the battle, just maintaining ballot access. It also can sap the money and energy of the supporters of that party and that leaves less energy and cash to put towards a real campaign.

We constitutionalists need to tell the two major parties that we are done with them, but we are not done with exercising our constitutional right to vote.

Obviously, if there happens to be a major party candidate that is also a constitutionalist, they deserve to get our vote.

Obama and Romney supporters don't care enough to be here. It's the Obama and Romney campaigns I suspect are lurking.

True!

I have another question pertaining to the other thread started.
Why is it rated 5 stars?

Looks to be oxymoronic to me.

Very simply... if someone lives in a state where RP is NOT seriously campaigning and is polling VERY low... then the "lesser lizard" theory comes into play for most people.

It *IS* that simple... just as people do not buy a stock that is perceived as not only being down, but continuing to go DOWN in price, they do not want to vote for someone they perceive as losing.

Likewise the opposite is true, people want to buy a stock whose price is perceived as being UP in price and purportedly continuing to go UP.

It is a fallacy... and a self-fulfilling one... but is widespread nonetheless.

I don't understand how anyone who has become familiar and content with RP's message could actually vote for anyone else. There's no one in the field who even REMOTELY compares to him, in their platform.

I don't even know what the other candidates' platforms actually ARE. They've all changed their minds so much, and falsified their positions on issues that contradict their records so much, that you really don't have any CLUE what you'd even be GETTING from them!
