telegraph.co.uk — Smokers, heavy drinkers, the obese and the elderly should be barred from receiving some operations, according to doctors, with most saying the health service cannot afford to provide free care to everyone

This is why we need RP for president because socialized medicine sucks.

Found this on diggs front page

If you're trying to convert a democrat, or independent left-leaner who favors socialized medicine, quote this:
"About one in 10 hospitals already deny some surgery to obese patients and smokers, with restrictions most common in hospitals battling debt."

I've heard of this before. One of my friends is a dual national (US/Brit.), she told me first hand the horrors of Universal government health care.

I've heard of this before. One of my friends is a dual national (US/Brit.), she told me first hand the horrors of Universal government health care.

My British ex-boyfriend had to wait a week or two for a potentially life-threatening doctor's appointment. He denied that the system was corrupt and not working. This is among some of the horrors I heard come from him. Other horrors included: "If I break the law, I deserve to be punished" in regards to my comment "It's not about the law, it's about who makes the law - anything can be illegal."

He was too pacifist and apathetic. :o

Gee, those nice government doctors wouldn't go so far as to ration medical treatment now would they?
