Not sure if this is common knowledge or not but according to this Democratic study a few years back there are many states that will reinstate felons rights to vote. Here is a quote that is interesting..."Disfranchised felons and ex-felons currently make up 2.1 percent of the voting age population, a figure that we project will rise to 3 percent within 10 years. Because the margin of victory in 3 of the last 10 presidential elections has been 1.1 percent of the voting age population or less, felon disfranchisement could be a decisive factor in future presidential races."

Does that list include our current govt. employees?

I know here in SC a felon can vote as long as he's served his entire sentence and is no longer on probation.
