View Full Version : chip-in for Cleveland-area RP tv commercials!

We're planning Cleveland-area TV advertising, and it's a bargain at $25 per 30-second spot. (The channel is our Cleveland NBC affiliate, and it covers a large greater-Cleveland viewing area.) We'll likely have our commercials placed into a 24-hour rotation, meaning that they could be played at any time of day or night. Hopefully we can hit some prime tv viewing times with such a rotation.

Our goal of $3,500 will pay for a total of 140 30-second spots (or even more 10- and 15-second spots) between now and March 4th, in all of WKYC's viewing area in the Greater Cleveland area. Please donate!

Here are the 5 commericals that we've already secured permission to use; we're also in the process of creating 1 or 2 locally-filmed commercials:

Ohio is an important election state, in that we have 88 delegates, vs. the 20 - 30 typical of most other states. We have worked hard to get Dr. Paul onto Ohio's ballot, and now we need to get him a win here!

If you can't afford to donate, please bump. Thanks in advance for your help!

I like the Something Big commercial the best - it's simple and it's Ron Paul speaking to America himself rather than a bunch of actors.

out of that grouping I agree with you. Not to mention it also shows the big crowds that go along with RP's speeches. :D

kmj - have you contacted all the Northeast Ohio meetups? Even the north central Ohio meetup has lots of members from the Sandusky/Norwalk/Bellevue area that would fall in the WKYC service area. Also there are meetups in Wooster, maybe Mansfield that would be in the Cleveland market.

I would suggest starting with Something Big. This gets people thinking and asking questions. Then follow up with the JB spots or others that address issues that are important to area voters.

If everyone that reads this just chips in $5 - they'll be there.

$1285 of $1600 received - - $385/$5 = 77

77 people will read this - hopefully 77 people will give $5

the jeremiah black ads suck.

seriously major suck. the new ones are so much better because they show an issue, show how ron paul can fix issue and often have ron's picture and voice.

most people i talk to say they don't even know what he looks like. to hear his voice and how sincere he is will make a huge difference. people need to see who they will be voting for... and i don't think those JB ads do that at all.

is there any way you can use some of the new ads the campaign is using? if not the something big is the best one in my opinion;)

I would definitely use the "Ron Paul Is" commercial. From a marketing standpoint, it is the most efficient at portraying who Ron Paul actually is and you shouldn't divide up air time amongst multiple ads when you are buying so few (relatively).

I hope you plan to start a PAC or you are going to work with one.

Thanks for the advice. I agree, the "Ron Paul Is" one is one of the strongest commercials.
