Seriously, if you havent seen this movie, you HAVE to watch it! Even those that have seen it before...Also, dont be discouraged by the fact that its black and white, it is a brilliantly awesome movie, and most of us should be able to appreciate it a lot...You wont regret it!

The movie still had a leftist spin to it. Jimmy Stewart is trying to start a boy's camp with Federal Money.

No, he isnt...he's asking for a loan, that will be repayed. It's fiscally responsible, and doesnt cost taxpayer's money. I'd say its equivalent to some of Ron Paul's "unconstitutional" votes that didnt really matter that much, such as congress celebrating the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr, or changing the name of the Ellis Island Library.

It may not side completely with the idea of what the government should be involved in, but its merely a vehicle for speaking out against government corruption and being strong in fighting against it, and never giving up your honesty and ideals...

Ands in a sense, its also a criticism of socialistic leftist ideas, because it shows how such government intervention can just as easily lead to corruption as it does here.

That movie was great, I saw it a few months ago, I even was thinking about Ron Paul when watching it, before I was a full blown supporter.

I saw it for the first time just a couple weeks ago. I do hope Ron started with more confidence and substance then Mr. Smith =P
