I'd like to make an animated short to support the campaign, to be published on YouTube. What are the best software tools to use? Nothing fancy -- just some images sliding around plus some arrows, text, a few transitions and a synchronized voice-over.

I'm considering Flash (though I've never used it before), but was wondering if there is something better (for Windows).

Thanks!

Windows movie maker is a free program and once you get the hang of it you can make some pretty cool videos.

I thought it just supported video editing, titling and basic transitions. Is there more to it than that?
