I just got a phone call form the Barack Obama Campaign. The guy wanted me to remind my parents to vote for Obama. I told him to not worry about it because my parents are now registered Republicans and will vote for Ron Paul. He was speechless. :-D

LOL Did he say if he's heard that on other calls?

I would have said "I have already reminded everyone in the county don't worry about it"

or

"barack who?"

careful not to be called a racist. Instead say it about Romney. Say Mitt Romney cant win because he doesnt have enough support and his views are too radical. Might get some peoples blood boiling.

"I hope you know this call is being monitored by the NSA"

I would have said "I'd vote for him if he had a chance of winning... he's just too much of a fringe candidate. I'm voting for Ron Paul."

'Barack Obama can't win"

LOL! I'd love to see someone say that to their campaign!

Add in "I think Ron Paul has a better chance" and it's perfect

You should have asked him if Obama was going to run 3rd party :)

You should have asked him if Obama has any electability :)

Why didn't we make a bunch of articles about how the other candidates are unelectable? Gah, I hate when I think of things after the fact. Though there is still a little bit of time before super tuesday. The other Republican candidates are unelectable except in Bizarro world of course, which does seem to be where we are.

Should have kept the guy busy for half an hour ;)

Do this, keep 'em talking, ask about issues, act like you're going to be convinced. Don't even have to be smarmy or let on that you're a Ron Paul supporter.

Keeps 'em from calling anyone else ;)

Of course if another candidates supporter does this to a Ron Paul caller we're likely to convert them because Ron Paul is right on the issues!

(1) "Great! Thanks for your call. I've been wanting to talk to someone about Senator Obama. I've just got to do something right now... would you mind holding on for a bit, then we can have a good chat?"

(2) Place handset beside receiver.

(3) Go canvassing, with a spring in your step, and wondering how long the caller will hang on for till he gives up!

Why waste any time with this? Turn out the vote.

The BO campaign was featured here on the local news. They were out canvassing. Well the first house they go too and the person says "No Thanks, I'm voting Ron Paul"

Ain't he that there feller who's holed up in that there Pakerstan? Nope, nope, won't do it. "

Ask them what O! stands for other than 'yes we can change.' I've seen O! on tv probably over 100 times and couldn't tell you one of his positions other than a general view that the government should be doing more for people and something about attacking Pakistan.

I think Paul gets to bogged down in policy and not enough into inspiration but this O! character as never mentions anything about what he wants to do.
