Would you be interested in a new site that delves into some of the deeper philosophical questions raised by the Ron Paul Revolution and critiques some of the overarching problems with our society?

I was thinking of starting a site that would discuss news and bring up things such as:

-The decay of society
-Rampant obesity
-Self reliance
-Rights of the individual
-Human instinct
-Mass insanity (like the current socialist trends we have)
-The precious metals markets

Hopefully with commentary on the site, some sort of public forum or way for readers to interact, and links to eye-opening articles and stories.

Even though the RevoLUTION is great and provides me with some solace, I don't feel like this or dailypaul is the place to contemplate our movement and the deeper implications and problems in society.

Anybody with me?

Questioning one's self and the things around you are the two most important things you can do.

But I think we should primarily work on Dr.Paul right now because if he loses we may not be allowed to do those things legally.

I like your sentiments. NOTHING should be unassailable in the quest for truth and personal development.

I certainly don't want to detract from the progress of the campaign, but win or lose, we need to EDUCATE people who are new to the campaign. So many people have awoken to the craziness that is around them thanks to Ron Paul. I have so many friends to whom I introduced the campaign, and they have now been forced to start to entirely rethink the world. Although I have "been in the know" for a bit longer than the start of this campaign, I have learned soooooo much from Ron Paul and the thoughts he has provoked.

Some of my tangential thinking on this movement, its implications and possible outcomes for American society come hell or high water, or liberty and freedom take up many more paragraphs than posting here would allow. As well..folks here seem to skip alot of the more thoughful and longer posts. I have been guilty myself and attribute it to the fact I have been reading a few hundred one and two liners and all of s sudden there is a cognitive shift to another part of the brain i do not want to make at that time, due to the having to set up morphological patternings for discovery of tangents within the writings and attempt to make a trajectory of sensibilty of the writing. Late in the evening when i try to get away from a project for a breather i like longer articles that work through a thinking process and present many pieces of historical fact or current events documentation to relax and absorb with.

In short your idea has a market provided the material is fresh and not a redundant paradigm of rehashed rehashings. <--That right there is the biggest stumbling block to a fine site worthy of frequentation. An example of a site I visit daily is http://http:rumormillnews.com in the Readers Room. It has alot of good info and because it is a rumor site they can take rumors and tackle what they mean, if anything. The amazing part over all the years I have read there is that many of the main points they addressed through connecting of dots over extended time periods and throuh multiple disparate news articles have come to pass. The amateur internet investigative journalists there could man any intel desk on the planet and do an admirable job. They throw nothing out the window and consider every possibilty..even the wacky ones..and sometimes they are the closest to true realities than ccomfortable societal myths everyone takes for granted.

Best

i don't see it being anything more than another blog.

no offence, but unless you get some heavy hitters and make a think tank, you're just a whisper in the wind.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't write about your exploration for people to read. We'll spread our ideas and who knows, maybe your website will take off and tons of people will read it. It's bound to happen to someone.

Thanks, I had heard of lewrockwell, but not the others. I will have to read around for a while and see if I am still not getting what I want for my intellectual and spiritual development.
