WOO HOO!! Just got a call from campaign headquarters in D.C. thanking us for our previous donations and reminding us about the upcoming February 1st money-bomb for Dr. & Mrs. Paul's Anniversary!!!

We're in Tennessee, which is a Super-Tuesday state, so I hope they're calling all the previous doners in ALL the Super-Tuesday states!!!

WOO HOOO!!

I got a call last night.

I hate telemarketing (Had to remind myself it's good for the campaign and not everybody is as anal as me about telemarketing).

I'm really surprised still. I've donated so often and so much - only my wife is still technically able to donate, that I felt it was a bit inappropriate in our case to be calling asking for more.

I've donated 6+ times and purchased several items from the store and have never gotten a call OR a postcard.

Maybe that's why I got a random (336) number calling me this morning?

Caller ID showed "DC Suburb, VA" and a 703 area code.

Guess you'll just have to keep giving until they call and tell you to stop :)

I don't think I will get a call, I bet they are only concentrating on the states that have the greatest chances of victory. My primary is not until Feb. 12, so if the thing isn't decided on Feb. 5th, Watch out Mid-Atlantic (VA, MD, DC-all fall on Feb. 12) states because we are about to be swarmed by the candidates.

ConstitutionGal,

Do you know the website for this moneybomb? I want to start posting it all over.

Do you know who started it/is maintaining it?

I'd appreciate any info.

Thanks

I just wish I could give more directly to the campaign (Thanks Mr. McCain). No way would I think it's inapropriate for them to call and ask for more.
I hope everyone gives all out for this money bomb.

I'm not a telemarketer, but when I took political classes in DC at the Leadership Institute, they touched on this. They had some big time political telemarketing firms telling us about who donates etc.... If you donate more than once, chances are you are going to donate again. If you are a big donor, guess what? They are going to ask more of the same.

Ask yourself this.....why do you think the donations are set-up the way they are? $25, $50, $2,000 etc? Because if you ask for $50, more than likely you will get $50. If your lowest donation amount is $10, and your highest is $5,000, what donation amount do you think will come in the most? Probably the $10.

Anyway, enough ranting. I don't get upset at telemarketers because they are only doing a job. But they are going to keep contacting you because you are considered a great donor.

Whoever it is, can it please NOT be Trevor? The last two money bombs he didn't send out any reminders at all until 3/4 of the way through the day. He is busy with all his other stuff.

As far as I know, there hasn't been a website set up for it but it's the only one that the campaign guy who just called mentioned.

So am I.

I gave $50 for MLK, just sent another $10, and I'm going to give whatever I'm able to on the first.

Remember people, no donation is too small. Give what you can, whenever you can, and try to give as much as you can before February 5th.

If every active member of this forum gave $10, we'd give $90,000 today.

703 would be the Arlington office/area.
